1986 GMC Jimmy K1500 4wd 4x4 Chevrolet Blazer K5 off road dry western survivor

Exterior: Straight and nice. Paint peeled as was typical of this era GM, and it was resprayed in the original color sometime ago. It's an inexpensive job, but looks fine to the casual observer. Shines well, but has a few runs. There is a scrape on the passenger front fender - see pics. No noticeable exterior rust that I can see, and the underside looks beautiful - the factory chalk marks on the frame are still visible. There is a spot of corrosion on one inner fender behind driver front wheel - see pics. Don't think the truck has ever seen salt. Nothing covered up with spray paint or bedliner, what you see is what you get. Chrome is bright and not pitted. Paint on the fiberglass top is faded. Just an honest survivor to use as is or take to the next level.

Interior: All original in decent driver condition. No rodents or smells. A couple of cracks in dash, and tear in driver seat as shown. Headliner has started to sag and needs to be re-glued. I believe everything works - gauges, wipers, heater, lights, etc. Speedometer works at low speeds but bounces at higher speeds, replacement cable included. Odometer works fine. New stereo system with remote. A/C blows but not super cold. Glass is good and windshield is new. I have the door pull escutcheons and they go with it.

Mechanical: Starts, runs, and drives out fine. Original 305 gave up around 100k miles, and a lower mileage 350 was installed per previous owner. Not sure of exact miles on the engine, but it runs fine and doesn't knock or smoke. Overdrive automatic transmission was rebult a few thousand miles ago and receipt is included. New fuel tank was installed a short time ago. Only known issue is an engine oil leak, haven't determined where it's coming from, it will leave a noticeable spot on the floor overnight. 31x10.50 tires have decent tread with no cracking that I can see. Keep in mind that it is an older rig and probably will need further sorting. If you live in a state with very strict vehicle inspections, they will probably find something for you to fix, so expect that.

Pricing/Misc: This truck is NO RESERVE and will sell. NADA low book is $8800, and if you check comps it's difficult to find a clean K5 or Jimmy for less. Flying in and driving it home this time of year probably isn’t a good idea, as Montana is a huge state with many remote areas with no cell service or roadside assistance. Reasonable transport is available, I will drive truck to meet your transporter and help load it. Title is clear and in my name, buyer will need to get insurance upon purchase as I will cancel mine. I will store the truck outside at no charge indefinitely if there are transport delays due to the Covid situation.
