Car description

This is a one of a kind truck. The engine was designed by Onan but later bought by Cummins. Cummins continued to manufacture them and were used in bread delivery trucks as well as generators. It is a 3. 4 liter inline 6 cylinder Turbo Diesel. Parts are available. The engine is connected to a GM Turbo 400 Auto transmission. The Engine and drive has worked very well for me in the couple years that I have owned this truck. There is a custom made radiator and fan belt that keep things running within temp range. Body is very straight with some but minimal rust. The dump bed works perfectly. I have collected plenty of loads of manure with this and hauled lots of lumber. The previous owner liked the antique look of things so nothing has been restored to show quality. It has the potential for that if that is the route you want to take. Chrome is in good shape but needs some buffing in places. Interior is original. All six tires are good. All glass is good. Lights and brights work great except for turn signals. Things that don't work that I know of: turn signals. wind shield wipers work but are on a vacuum pump so don't work great. would be best to replace them with an electric motor driven system. The speedometer does not work either. On occasion it has leaked some coolant from the water pump. but not for some time now. This is one of those "here and there" problems that is not currently a problem. This truck is basically all there and ready to go. starts strong even in the cold. One could drive this a longer distance but it would be loud. and you'd probably be maxing out around 65mph. There are currently no seat belts. Feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to answer. I did not build up the truck myself. so technical build questions I may not know. it was built by some pretty knowledgable old timers who did the conversion very well. This is a solid running truck.
