This truck has always been in semi-arid western Nebraska. Last series of the all steel medium duty trucks. I have been around this truck since I drove it for the nieghbors when it was new. I am the 3rd owner. We had sold our late model. pretty trucks so we used this on our farm for wheat and corn harvests last year. It did absolutely fine. and ran every day with our other trucks with zero problems. This truck has no rust on. above. underneath. anywhere. It does have forty one years of dents on the original paint. We had bought this for the box and hoist. but ended up having to use it for harvest when we sold our newer one. Anything this ever needed mechanically was done and done in a timely manner. The 427 starts great and runs strong and quiet through dual exhaust. The clutch and transmissions work great. Was told the 4 speed Brownie is recently rebuilt. The air brakes are strong and holds air for days. Power steering is quiet. Heater. lights. air horn. etc. function properly. I took the dash apart and cleaned gauges. I also rebuilt the correct truck edition Holley carburetor and did a complete tune up. then serviced it. Windshield has a couple of cracks out of line of sight. Has newer Double Coin 9. 00R20 Radials in front and an assortment of 10. 00:20 tires from new radials on down in the back. All are sound and keep air in them. Easily $1. 00 worth of 4 near new radials. Truck has never been twisted or wrecked. The grille is about as good as they get on these; which is great since they are nearly impossible to find. Speedometer/odometer doesn't work. but between the 3 of us. we are guessing about 120K on the truck as it hasn't been used a lot for the last 15 years or so. Rest of the gauges and tachometer function correctly. Gas gauge is intermittent depending on tank you are using. Tank selector switch works. Truck always starts on it's own without a boost. Has the optional primer and it works. PTO and cables are still on the truck and it worked fine. Power divider equipped and it functioned correctly. Dimensions are approx. 138" cab to trunnion and 17' cab to rear of frame. Sorry for being a bit lengthy. but I have known this truck since new and you just as well know what I do. Just run it as your truck rat rod or more make it pretty without the rust battle. We do have a couple of different style of flatbeds available if you need one. Bid to buy. That's it.
