Up for your bidding pleasure is one of the most sought after and collectible 1950s pickups out there. A truck like this is truely a rare find, and this one is very ORIGINAL! It has a great patina and is very solid with almost NO RUST. This truck is optioned out to the max, must have been ordered by a wealthy rancher or a well-to-do person, to spend that much $$$$$ on the luxury extras way back then on these kind of options on a PICKUP. Here's the list on this jewel;316 ci V8, HYDROMATIC 4sp automatic, factory POWER BRAKES (both very rare), deluxe custom cab trim package, BIG back window, dual visors, dual horns, driver arm rest, factory GMC RADIO, cab mount radio speaker, deluxe heater, and electric wipers!! Find another out there...Was a running, driving truck 3 years ago, has been sitting since, last owner was going to restore (life changes and did not allow him that). I got it with a lot of new parts that were all boxed up and labeled. I bought with the intention of keeping this one, as I have been collecting old GMC's for 45 years. Started the reconditioning and new parts install and came across a "Gem". I've been searching decades for (1955 GMC suburban carrier). Bought it and this one went on the back burner. Truck runs, trans engages, brakes new and work, but the carb needs a total rebuild or replaced. Accelerator pump bad I think, will sit and idle for however long you want but push down on the gas, it falters and dies. Here's what it needs still to be put on the road; complete exhaust, I was going to do duels but as soon as I do, then the potential buyer would want a single and vise vers, so you decide what you would like to do. This is a list of brand new parts purchased and installed in the last 3 months; tires, hoses and belts, plugs, points, rotor. thermostat, complete brake system including lines, (not brake booster) new bed wood and kit, gas tank and line, fuel sending unit, windshield and gasket. Rear window gasket is 4 years old or so.Things left to do in my opinion; Carburetor, plug wires, shocks, exhaust system, master booster rebuild, check and/or change rear end grease, rubber floor mat. Still has all of the original LOF factory glass except for new windshield. Please see pictures to see just how solid and almost rust free this truck is, check out the floor pan how solid it is and with its old original factory green paint. Still has the glove box liner. Also, this truck was originally an all green (delta green # 41792) truck, then at some point it was treated to a yellow paint on the upper 1/2. Then decades later painted all blue, fast forward to now, and you now see all these colors working in harmony to create an AWESOME PATINA. Also, this truck is NOT clear coate, it was sent to a professional shop. Color sanded, heavy cut buffed, polished buffed, then machine waxed. I take pride in my descriptions of everything I sell, check my feedback. That said, these items listed next, I know work; horns both (but spring on button must be sticking, so it is disconnected). Both head lights high and low beam, park lights, electric wipers, oil gauge and speedo (see pics, holds 30 lbs. at idle, and speedo registered 15 mph at idle with rear end on jack stands) amp and fuel gauges register. Not sure on temp gauge as with no exhaust system and in need of a new carb., can't drive up to operating temp. The 2 front fender planes you see come with the truck but are not drilled or mounted, hood spear will be removed for shipping but does come with, as do the other accessory's. Seat back top is dry rotted, see pics. The interior is all original paint and HEADLINER. Please call with any questions 405-612-5666, emails are snail mail and slower to be answered.
