THIS WAS A SPECIAL ORDER TRUCK FROM GM TO STOCKTON CA. FOR

MR. ALFRED W. WHITNEY WHO PASSED AWAY AND LEFT IT TO HIS BEST FRIEND.

BEING A "SPECIAL ORDER TRUCK" THIS IS WHY IT IS RARE THEN RARE WITH 454 SHORT BED IN A BEAU JAMES

THIS TRUCK IS A SOLID CA. TRUCK NEVER SEEN SNOW OR DRIVEN IN HARSH WEATHER

Beau James was designed in an effort to attract more upscale buyers to the pickup truck segment.

That's rather common today with all the luxury $50,000 trucks, but it wasn't all that widespread 40 years ago.

Being a plushy pickup, Beau James rides on top of the line Classic Sierra trim stacked with amenities, and all high options such as full instrumentation, velour seats, air conditioning, cruise control and more.

You canrecognize it by its distinctive blue/silver paint job,special Beau James ornament on the hood, unique floor mats, wire-look hubcaps and Beau James chrome decal on the rear bed side.

Beau James rode on C15 three-quarter ton chassis with cushier half-ton suspension, and could have only been ordered with the strongest of power train available - that being 4-barrel 350ci V8 and 4-barrel 454ci V8. Only around 4,000 have been ordered that way.

THIS TRUCK WAS BOUGHT BY MY UNCLE MIKE MILLER 16 YEARS AGO, WHO LIVED IN MANTECA CA. AT THE TIME.

HE PURCHASEDTHIS FULLY DOCUMENTED TRUCK FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNERS BEST FRIEND WHO ALSO WAS A TRUCKER IN SAN ANDRES CALIFORNIA WHO TOOK VARY GOOD CARE OF IT.

UNCLE MIKE BOUGHT THIS TRUCK AS IS.

BODY AND PAINT IS IN GREAT CONDITION CONSIDERING THE AGE, BUT BY NO MEENS IS A TRAILER QUEEN, BUT NOT FAR FROM BEING ONE.

THEHOOD WAS PAINTED BLUE FROM FADING TO QUICKLY FROM THE SUN WHEN HE GOT IT BUT ORIGINALLY WENT SILVER WHEN NEW. THERE IS NO RUST ON THIS TRUCK, VARY SOLID RUST FREE CALIFORNIA TRUCK THAT STILL SPORTS THE 70'S BLUE PLATES PROUDLY...
