This is the Toughest. Roughest Suburban money could buy in 1985. it is the 3/4 Ton plus an upgrade that included bigger brakes and HD suspension. some other things I forgot. Maybe the 425 Trans? do your own research to confirm. This truck will cruise 75 MPH on Cruise control with that trailer and a 5. 00 Pound Pontiac jammed in the backI installed a New Distributor. all new Rubber on the engine. Hoses belts. all those little Vacuum hoses. fuel lines. all the Rubber. I rebuilt the Carburetor and changed the fuel pump. I put new lower ball joints in it which it didn't need and then the front brakes which It did (should have done the brakes first) We put new Flow-master 60's and new tail pipes on it $570 and we put $1. 00 worth of tires and wheels on it. (NOT INCLUDED EXCEPT BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT) Please consider them optional. if not. U will receive the truck with other Tires. nothing special. but holding air. Ask if U want photos. they won't be that badThere is no cancerous rust of any kind. some surface rust spots scattered here and there. and on one door sill. The Bad:Drivers window is off the track. needs help up and downThe AC Clutch. Defective and gone. I greased the compressor so it wouldn't rustThe door panel is missing off the tail gate. I had to make some repairs to the rear window motor. the access panels remain open the the switch loose in the dash. the window works wellDespite all of the Rebuilds to the fuel system. the truck has given me occasional fits with what I can only surmise as a vapor lock issue when the weather is hot. flawless performance is not guaranteed. Having said that. the Truck seems to have good compression. Runs on all 8 cylinders. lifters all pump up.
