Selling my 1992 GMC Sierra SL 4x4 6.5L Turbo Diesel K2500HD 3/4 ton regular cab long bed pickup truck. Moving and have no time to fix, selling as a mechanic's special. This truck has lots of potential as it's well equipped and has the rare 6.5L high output Turbo Diesel engine. This truck's engine has a stronger block casting and DB2 mechanical injection pump which eliminates some of the "historic" 6.5L's problems from the past. A few month's ago something in the driver side cylinder head started rattling at idle and then let go. I shut the engine off right away however it was too late. To be safe I would say the truck needs a new motor however the current engine may be salvageable. The engine WILL START AND RUN but it's not a not a pretty sound. Truck has been well cared for and maintained. Title is notarized and ready to be transferred to new owner. Just recently paid for many items of service including a full rebuild of the automatic transmission which you will find listed below. Two sets of keys and the factory owners manual come with the truck as well as fuel, oil and air filters all brand new and unused. For reference, I've included a screenshot of some the transmission rebuild invoice and some engine prices I found while performing a quick search. Must be able to trailer away.
