1991 GMC Jimmy SLE for sale
This is a two owner survivor. I searched for months for an original intact K5 Jimmy and finally found this one. The original owner from Billings, MT owned it for the first 22 years and I've owned it just shy of 6 years. The original owner was a school teacher that drove it to school, church, and the grocery store (as I was told), the spouse worked at a major oil and gas company. The original owner had the undercarriage heavily coated when purchased to protect against the harsh winter road conditions. I was told that the undercarriage was pressure washed after each winter to remove the road treatment and preserve the vehicle. The previous owner disclosed that the vehicle sustained hail damage from a Tornado storm in 2011. I do not find any evidence that the vehicle has been involved in an accident. I have a detailed service record book maintained by the previous owner detailing all service and repairs.
I started at the front and had the vehicle mechanically evaluated and repaired as needed. All I've had to do it replace the AC Compressor. The K5 Jimmy runs and drives great. To my knowledge the paint is original and does have some imperfection after 28 years of enjoyment. My intent was to have the vehicle repainted, but have not found the time or additional funds to do so. Since my intent was to complete a cosmetic restoration I've sought out and have many new old stock items such as side molding, grill, headlight bezels, inner and outer window felt to name a few.
There are only two areas of rust that I've seen on the K5 Jimmy, one on the left inner fender bracket and the other on the right inner fender bracket.
