Car description

1988 full size GMC Jimmy. I've owned this truck since 2008. Garage kept while I've owned it. This would be a terrific candidate for a rebuild or drive it as is. Minimal rust. There is one small small spot inside the passenger side door jamb area (pictured). A prior owner bolted a 2x4 under the cab floor on both sides between the rocker and the frame. I assume there is also a rust spot in those locations but I've never investigated further. You can see part of this in the pictures.
Miscellaneous dents and dings throughout. The worst one being in the passenger side rear quarter behind the fuel door. Minor crack in top of tailgate (pictured). Rear window works. I replaced the beltline trim but some of it has since come off again.
Interior is in similar condition to the rest of the truck. Miscellaneous wear and tear and stains. A prior owner switched the seats out for a better pair from another Blazer/Jimmy. I put brown covers over them. I recently replaced the dash bulbs, a couple of vents, dome light lens, and the headliner. HVAC and radio are not working. Power windows work but the passenger side is slow.
Grille and headlight surrounds were replaced with reproduction units. Somewhat recent water pump. Mileage is somewhat a guess as it has a 5 digit odometer. BFG tires have about 10,000 miles on them. Period correct Warn winch - I don't know if it actually works I've never connected it.
Smokes on start up but clears up. Virtually every component that contains a liquid leaks so you have to add fluids periodically - motor, transmission, power steering, etc. This is also probably the most reliable vehicle I have owned. I drove it nearly every day for a few years but not much in the last few. I reserve the right to end auction before its conclusion. Feel free to contact me with questions.
