This truck started as a virtual rust free Georgia truck and has had a four year. complete “frame off” nut and bolt restoration and is fully documented. Considerable research was done with attention to detail to make it as period correct as possible. This truck has been restored to the highest standards but was also intended to be driven. To these ends the safety of the vehicle has been improved in a couple of areas. The duplicate-of-original cloth wiring harness is from YNZ in California which has been stealthily converted to 12 volts for improved lighting and safety with a 12 volt generator but retaining the 6 volt markings and a matching 12 volt voltage regulator. The ignition coil has a built-in resistor making it virtually impossible to identify this upgrade. The only other concession to originality is the tastefully done three point seat belts from Julianos. The fabric for the seats and door panels match the original seat fabric and were custom manufactured by SMS Auto Fabrics in Oregon. The seats were upholstered using original materials. including synthetic horse hair padding which provides firm but comfortable seating. All sheet metal was sandblasted. primed with PPG epoxy primer and top coated with PPG acrylic urethane enamel in the original Narva Green color with hand painted cab pin stripe in the correct gold color. Unlike Chevrolet. GMC did not pin stripe the wheels on their trucks. New yellow pine bed wood was installed in the correct flat back finish. Optional from the factory. 6. 50x16 inch B. F. Goodrich tires from Coker Tire are fitted all the way around. An original rebuilt 228 cubic inch engine was installed as was a complete brake system including stainless steel brake lines and parking brake cables from Inline Tube. The original date coded radiator from 1952 was re-cored. The gauges and gauge faces are original with the odometer reset to “0” miles reflecting the total restoration of this truck. The truck presently has 350 miles on it and is fully sorted out - meaning that everything works at it should. Georgia is a non-title state for classic vehicles of this vintage so bill of sale will be provided. Payment shall be by cash or wire transfer of funds.
