This is a 1955 GMC stepside 3/4 ton pickup which I have owned for 16 years here in Arizona. It has a 287 factory installed Pontiac engine, 8 cylinders and is the hydramatic transmission. It has the rare big wrap-around windshield and back window, a wood bed which isn't in very good condition and lots of chrome in the bumpers and the front of the pickup. This is all original, the paint is faded but the grill, stainless steel trim, glass, dash and instruments are all in excellent condition. The seats have been recovered in red and white vinyl and the carburetor and the fuel pump have been very recently rebuilt. The speedometer says the mileage is 6,190 but I don't think the engine has ever been rebuilt, at least not while we've had it but I had to put a higher mileage in to make the listing work. All the gauges work and thewindshield wipers work. The radio doesn't work and the heater core leaked at some point and was by-passed. This has been an extremely reliable truck, it starts immediately and runs well. The truck body has no rust or dents. This is an exceptional rare truck.
