1986 C1500 Shortbed 4.3, Carbureted, TH400 trans, 10 bolt, lowered 2" in the front and 3" in the rear.New paint, windshield, grille, bezels, shocks, muffler, catalytic converter and tailpipe, seat cover, carpet, ball joints, tie rod ends, shackles, fuel tank, radiator, and taillights. This was a year-long project that was metal-finished first and has no more than 1/8" of filler anywhere on it. Everything was photographed and documented from start to finish. It runs and drives well, smog tubes and pump are still there and are operational. Cat is new. I haven't ever registered the truck, so no emissions test has been done. It's being sold as a project that is about 95% of the way there.Truck started as an insanely solid and straight longbed. The paint on the floors was showroom perfect. was professionally shortened to exact shortbed dimensions by me, a professional fabricator and hotrod builder with 28 years of professional experience and a Concours D Elegance win under my belt. Everything was done right and is stronger than original. frame was blueprinted, plumb-bobbed and leveled, step-cut for a double shear joint that's stronger than original and then I fully perimeter welded gusset plates on the inside.I haven't balanced the tires as they are out of date and should be replaced. The dash pad is rough and needs replacement as do the brushed aluminum upper trim strips on the door panels. Gauge bezel is fair. One of the gauges isn't working, ...little stuff.I'd just drive this thing. It's a solid 8.5/10 and would be a super nice driver or it'd be an awesome candidate for an engine swap that you could drive and enjoy during the process.
