1984 GMC Caballero Crazy Low Mileage El Camino, Superb Throughout.
5.0 L (305 cu in) Small-Block V8, Automatic 3 Speed, 36,245 Miles
The word "Caballero" is from the Spanish language, "horseman" (caballo meaning horse) or "knight".
This vehicle has had an older paint restoration in its original color. It does show some light wear from over the years minor dings and rock chips around body. The engine and transmission are factory correct. The A/C works. Aftermarket sun roof, cruise control, tonneau cover, fitted rubber bed mat, new spare with original jack and components. Choice of original wheels or aftermarket 15” Camaro Iroc rims with BF GOODRICH radial tires. Rear air shocks, tow package. New air shocks, new 2.5 exhaust muffler from catalytic converter back. No rust. Runs perfect, interior like new. Minor vinyl splitting on side of driver’s seat, plastic trim on door panels peeling. Dash and carpet are perfect.
Many never even knew a GMC version existed of the Caballero, now that rarity counts to collectors. Exterior appearance remained largely the same over the truck's nine-year lifespan, with the biggest changes through the years coming mostly in the form of grille design.
This car features cloth bucket seats with a center console and floor-mounted shifter. Most models with automatic transmission carried the shifter on the steering column. The instrument panel originally featured a "strip" style of speedometer, with the needle making a long sweep across a horizontal line of numbers to indicate speed. This model has a more conventional round dial format. The 1987 model year was the end of the line for GM's North American Coupe Utilities.
Far more different to find than an El Camino. Extremely clean example throughout. Under photos available on request.
