Car description

Up for sale is my 1953 GMC Hydramatic Pickup truck 100 series 1/2 ton long bed (7 feet 2 inches long). Built in California. This is a factory built Hydramatic 4 speed automatic transmission, was the first year for the Hydramatic in a GM Truck. It has the original 228 cu.in. 6 cyl. engine. The engine and transmission were rebuilt in the late 1990s and has close to 15k miles since the rebuild. it has mono leaf lowering springs front and back with new shackles and KYB Shocks. new tires front and rear. the brakes are original drum brakes with new Master cylinder and shoes. the rear end was rebuilt and now has 3.55-1 gears to help keep the RPMs down when cruising. also the rear axle bearings and seals were just replaced. the steering/ front end is tight with no play in the steering.electrical has been changed to 12 volt with an alternator and electric windshield wipers.headlights, turn signals, tail lights, stop lights all work including the factory GMC Heater and defroster.the fuel gauge does not work. amp gauge, oil pressure and temp all work, water temp runs at 180 deg. and oil pressure at idle 40 and driving 60 pounds. the body is in fair to good condition with faded 30 year old paint a few nicks and scratches a few thin spots and a couple rust spots shown in pictures. the floors are in good condition. the tuck was built in California and later on went to Arizona and 15 years ago back to California. it had been in storage for about 10 years when purchased it. it now seems to be a dependable driver. The truck is easy to drive and goes down the road well. mileage odometer works but the speedometer does not. The original wood in the bed is original and in poor condition but covered with a sheet of plywood on top. It does come with a new in the box oak bed kit with all the hardware, also door weather strip, and window channel kits. The truck comes with a clear California title in my name and current registration. for any further information call 949-429-5382. If you have ZERO FEEDBACK you must contact me before you bid. I reserve the right to cancel all Zero feedback bids. Shipping is up to the buyer but I will do all I can on my end to make sure its loaded safe and sound. Remember this is a 65 year old tuck so please keep that in mind
