I Have owned this truck for just about 3 years. I bought it from a 1st Calvary Vietnam Veteran . He was a diesel mechanic there. He got it from another vet. in disabled status. and then in his words Gave it a"Govenment overhaul" I asked what that incurred he told me he kept the block and installed everything else new . so when I got it the brake in oil was still in the engine with less than 1000 miles on it. that was at 116201 on the odometer changed oil then been driving it most days since then. I have put on 15. 00 miles in the 3 years I have owned it . it will average 47 to 55 miles per gallon I drove it allot at 55 mph and it would do 55 mpg then as long as the tires were aired up to 35lbs. it didnt look like it does today for the first 1yearI just drove it. I really needed a gas reprieve I went from spending almost $500 on gas per month to $80 just two tanks a month it was great . I changed jobs worked closer and started to work the Rabbit up a bit it has been painted 2012 camero orange code 502q base coat clear coat PPG Deltron just the paint material was $500 . ordered carpet and seat covers online they are ok had the headliner installed tricked out the door panels with a little custom work . the dash is left to work over it has one crack I suppose it could be repaired I was going to replace it with a good one . the rear bumper was rusted out . i built a little heavier one for it . I saved all the factory caps and brackets. It does have a/c there is a charge in it . t may be low I have not messed with it. at some point in time I think the radiator support has been replaced along with straightening the right front apron . I bought fenders online for the front it was a challenge to install them but the look alright now . I has been painted for about a year and a half . I have been trying to raise more funds for door window sashes and some other items the front and rear window gaskets were replaced . however the rear window is a slider and the seals between the glasses leak some the side window felts need replaced they have turned hard I have put a lot of energy into this to bring it this far and money. I also have new rotors . ads for the front . seals bearings and shoes for the rear . but it doesnt need them yet . a new alternator also not installed. the cooling fins are gone on the one in the truck. radio works new antenna all electronics are good glow plugs dash . he fan works on high only . I have seen these trucks for sale all over in prices. I have 8500 in it Id like to get my money back. Dave 2522560100
