Thank YouI am selling this 1978 GMC Supercab Extended / Crew / Quad Cab 4 door truck. It is definitely a workhorse of a truck with a gooseneck hitch hookup in the bed and a regular hitch hookup in the rear as well. Strong running 454 BBC mated to a Solid TH400. this big beast pulls hard and fast. even with a load hitched to the back!This is a great workhorse truck that is in need of tlc to be road worthy. The engine fires right up and still pulls strong. engine was rebuilt a couple of years ago and was driven for about 2 months before put in storage. There is some surface rust on the passenger side of the vehicle and on drivers side rear. There is a dent in the drivers door (will need to be replaced or have bodywork done). There are scratches and dings all over. but with a little TLC and a trip to your local salvage yard. you can get replacement panels or doors. The smog pump is missing. there are headers on the big block as well. also a small exhaust leak on the drivers side where the exhaust gasket fell apart. Inside of the truck will need a cleaning and interior pieces replaced or restored. Brakes have just been serviced and bled and she stops on a dime. even with as big as she is. you can re-service and replace brakes if you want to do so. Overall. a decent RUNNING AND DRIVING truck that needs lots of love. The truck is equipped with a regular hitch system in the rear. as well as a setup for a Gooseneck in the bed of the truck. truck hauled and pulled hay bales and horses the majority of its life and has handled everything very well. Vehicle is currently on a non-op status so there is not a ridiculous amount of backfees owed. Just took her on a 1 hour drive on 1/29/15 and that strong 454 BBC got all 3/4 Ton of her moving fast and strong! Overall. a very good truck for the right person. with a little tlc. she can be made roadworthy or you can run her as she is now on your farm or on your own private property!I reserve the right to end auction early. as vehicle is also for sale locally.
