This truck is an awesome, well preserved, super original cab over. I have owned since 2003. the history on this truck is almost cooler than the truck...almost. So the story goes from the old timer I purchased from; during WW2 commercial trucks were very hard if not impossible to purchase for civilian use. With the different bases in the state during that period this truck was issued to the Hadley family which held a mayflower moving location. The truck was used to move all the military families in town and can tell it was very well taken care of; I had POR-15 much of the chassis and I can tell you it was taken care of due the huge amount of grease on the zerk fittings. It was off the road long before the 70's when the previous owner got it. He stored it until 03' when I bought it.
The truck has sat for about a year, would take minimal work (wash out the carb and replace the fuel line and a battery) before it would be running. I put all new tires on it, still in good shape. I've had the starter rebuilt, Generator rebuilt, and the radiator crimping on the bottom tank had started to leak so had that repaired. I haven't messed with anything, talk about a running driving barn find!
