Car description

I am selling my 1993 GMC K1500 Sierra SLE Z71 4X4. These trucks are getting hard to find. On this Chevrolet / GMC body style (1988 to 1998), you will mostly find a lot of extended cab 2WD trucks. However, you will be hard to find a single cab short bed with 4X4 and the Z71 package. I get a lot of compliments on this truck.
It took me a while to find this truck. The ones I test drove before this one were in rough shape. I bought this one because it was obvious that it had been taken care of. I bought it from the son of an older man who could no longer drive.
The truck has the legendary and bullet-proof Chevy 350 engine. It is a 5.7 liter V8 with throttle body injection (TBI). Yes, the truck has a lot of miles, but you wouldn't know it driving it. The engine fires up effortlessly and does not skip a beat. The transmission shifts pretty well too and the 4X4 works as far as I can tell (I haven't taken it off-road). The interior is very clean. However, the top of the dashboard has a few cracks. The A/C blows cold and it has a kenwood stereo.
This truck is almost 25 years old so expect the wear and tear of a 25 year old truck. The pain is not perfect. There is dings and scratches on the paint. However, the body is straight and rust-free. The paint on the hood and roof is starting to fade. The undercarriage is free of any bends, damage, etc.
This is what I have done to the truck since I bought it:
- Installed new wheels and tires (Cragar Soft 8 wheels and Cooper Discoverer MTP tires)- Installed new Flowmaster high-flow catalytic converter- Installed new Flowtech catback dual exhaust- Installed new rear bumper (I did not like the previous one)- Installed new headlights and front turn signals (previous ones had seen better days)- Installed new front grill (the previous one was peeling away)- Installed new oxygen sensor- Tinted the windows- Installed new Husky Liner floor mats- New headliner
This truck truck is pretty much stock with the exception of the above. The only things mechanically to point out are that it has an engine oil leak and a transmission oil leak. It does not leak a lot but does leave a few drops when parked. I make sure the oil levels are always where they should be. Also the oil pressure gauge does not work all the time. The previous owner took it to a mechanic to make sure it wasn't an engine issue and he was told it was just a faulty gauge.
I hate to part ways with this truck. My intention was to keep it for a long time. However, I need extra cash to make some unexpected home repairs.
Bid only if you are serious about buying this truck and have the funds to pay for it. Lets not waste each other's time. Truck is sold as-is where-is, no warranty expressed or implied. I will only take payment in cash or cashiers check. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pick-up.
I will not sell to anyone outside the U.S. I will cancel bids from those with zero or negative feedback. I reserve the right to cancel this auction as the truck is for sale locally.
