Car description

This is a GMC Suburban SLE 2500 3/4 ton SUV that is a clean, 2 owner Southern California truck now located in Illinois.
The truck was driven from the LA area to Illinois very early this year, as my father and step-mother wanted a road trip through the Southwest and I had spoken with my father about finding a nice, clean California vehicle. We combined our thoughts, and this truck came home.
The Reserve is reasonable, it is not in the five figure zone. I believe everyone should have access to clean old vehicles and this is priced as such.
The truck returned with the AC running most of the way at 70-75 mph without issue.
Equipped with a fuel injected 454 cubic inch V8, Turbo 400 automatic, and 3.73 limited slip rear end. There is a class IV hitch installed as well as trailer wiring in excellent condition.
The trucks' body is clean, mostly straight and shows great for a 28 year old truck. The former owner stated the truck was kept in a garage or carport almost all of it's life and it shows. There are a few love taps here and there that commiserates with a 28 year old vehicle, but nothing that detracts from the appearance. It will illicit thumbs up and comments everywhere, especially from the 30-50 year old male demographic LOL.
The underside, rocker panels, door panels, and body/door seams have ZERO RUST. Not even any orange rust stains from slight surface rust or oxidation. The underside floorboards, frame cross-members, suspension pieces, and exhaust show absolutely no rust or scale. More photos are available, just ask.
The truck starts, shifts, stops, turns, and functions like it should. It fires up with 2 or 3 turns of the starter.
The truck has PL, PW including the rear tailgate window, and working cool front and rear AC. The AC will keep you cool, there is just alot of glass to overcome. The windows are factory tinted and help in keeping the large greenhouse cool in the summer.
Clean interior, clean seats, all factory floor mats present. The headliner is complete and pinned up in the rear and doesn't detract from the interior. The truck does have an aftermarket CD stereo deck with BlueTooth and a functional security system that works surprisingly well. 2 remotes and 2 sets of keys are included.
The truck has a re-cored radiator, a new water pump, timing chain, belt tensioner, pitman arm, oil cooler lines, oxygen sensor, TPS, and full tune-up under the hood. The steel stamped valve covers were replaced with later Gen V style cast aluminum BBC valve covers to eliminate leaks and seeps. The Optima red top battery is approx. 4 years old. The gigantic inefficient pancake catalytic converter was replaced with a high-flow Dynomax unit approx. 4 years ago as well.
Along with the new cooling system, I converted the truck to electric cooling fans from an LS1 Corvette running through a temp switch in the extra thread bung in the water pump and triggered by a relay system as recommended by Harris TBI Performance ( Google Harris Performance electric fan conversion as eBay won't allow the link ). This system works without issue and frees up the front of the engine from the large viscous engine driven fan.
The tires have under 5000 miles on them and are mounted on chrome wagon wheels that were added when the truck was fairly new. The stainless running boards and rear polished air foil were also added when the truck as newer as well.
The truck will tow north of 8500 lbs as it's equipped, but has ever been taxed like that in my ownership. It will tow an 18 foot boat and an 18 foot car trailer with two vintage JD 420 lawn tractors with ease though. We have also used the truck on a few road trips, it will swallow 4 people and their weekend bags without hesitation. You will get use to the comments of 'wow, that's a clean old truck' at almost every stop.
All paperwork since my ownership is included as well as a sporadic receipt from the previous owner.
I will require a $500 PayPal deposit within 24 hours and full payment can be worked out at the time of winning. I will only accept certified banks checks, cash, or possibly PayPal depending on conditions.
If you want or need it shipped, I may be able to offer some assistance in meeting the shipping company, but shipping will not be provided and will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.
Have fun, happy bidding on a nice and clean RUST FREE square body truck!
