Car description

1972 GMC Sierra Grande

You're looking at a VERY well kept and excellent driving GMC 1500 Sierra Grande. This truck has been insanely fun over the last four years, but I've since purchased my dream truck (same year, 4WD), so this one must go. I'll my best to represent everything about the truck, but if you have any questions or need additional photos or videos, don't hesitate to call or text: 512.653.0773

Yes, I'm listing the truck with NO RESERVE; the highest bidder at the end of five days gets it. Yes, I will entertain offers, but eBay does not allow the ending of any auctions with less than 24hrs to go (so, keep that ind mind). Also, don't waste your time with offers you know won't stick. If you want a $10,000 truck, you can find them all over Craigslist.

Mechanical

Mechanically, the truck is rock solid and is a very reliable driver. Though I don't drive it daily, I've maintained it so I could if I wanted to (and that's been my goal since day one of owning it). The restoration is an older one, but was done well; I have also invested another $10,000 (receipts included) in order to make it as bullet-proof as possible. Sure, it's old and it will always have little quirks here and there, but you can get in and drive it without worry. There are no drips, leaks, engine smoke, or any strange noises from anything mechanical!.

Major items replaced in the last 8,000 miles:

  • A/C compressor + upper/lower diverter box
    April, 2014
  • Front and rear brakes
    July, 2014
  • Front wheel bearings
    July, 2014
  • Radiator + thermostat + fan
    September, 2014
  • Tires
    October, 2014
  • Rear axle bearings
    October, 2014
  • Exhaust system from the manifolds back
    December, 2014
  • Fuel Tank
    October, 2015
  • Alternator
    June, 2016
  • Carburetor + intake manifold
    June, 2016
  • Battery
    January, 2017
  • Exterior

The paint is in excellent shape and shows incredibly well (even up close) even though it's probably 20 years old. Sure, there are tiny little imperfections that come along with driving it (a couple small chips/cracks, one little paint bubble on the lower rocker on the passenger side, etc.), but no major rust anywhere! If you scroll down to the bottom of the page (above the videos), I've documented all the flaws. The body is incredibly straight with no wavy lines or poor fitment of doors, hood, or the tailgate (see video walk-around below).

    Interior

The interior is about as perfect as you will find for a truck that doesn't just sit in a showroom all the time. Everything works (gauges, climate control, lighting, wipers, horn, etc.), the seat is supportive and comfortable, and the carpet is in excellent shape (floor mats included, but not pictured). I do have the original radio if you're not a fan of the upgraded (but original looking) head unit currently in the dash.

    Well, on to the pictures/videos:
