The Value Van was GMC’s version of the common delivery truck, a less common sibling to the ubiquitous Chevy P10 StepVan. Its architecture was the traditional forward-control configuration of a conventional light truck, usually made in half ton size.
The only conventional part of this half-ton Value Van is the chassis. The body itself has been extensively customized by the late impresario Boyd Coddington. Known for such masterpieces as CadZZilla and CheZoom and many others.
Outfitted as a party vehicle, it has a fully-carpeted interior with bar and custom sound system. Seating consists of a pair of gray suede captain’s chairs in front, the driver’s perch facing a custom brushed aluminum dashboard that incorporates the stock GMC instrument cluster. A pull-out drawer on the right side houses electronics equipment. The bar is built from high-fashion aluminum diamond plate, with sub woofers in the panel below. On the right side is floor-to-ceiling cabinet.
The most obvious Boyd touch, however, is the bright orange and white paint bearing his signature on the rear doors. A set of custom 20-inch Boyd Coddington wheels sports P275/45 Goodyear Eagle GTII tires. This van will always be the center of attention and, not coincidentally, the life of the party.
This van comes with a certificate of authenticity proving that it was indeed build by Boyd Coddington.
