Car description |

1955 GMC First series Pickup. This truck is a 150 Series Half Ton Pickup.
The early 1955 GMC trucks are only different from the 1954 Models in that the rear end is an open carrier driveline and does not have the torque tube like earlier trucks.
I was a very original solid truck to start with. Was originally in eastern WA State (very dry).
It is a 5 window with deluxe stainless trim around the windows.
It has undergone much restoration but it stalled out. Most work was done 2010-2014. I have receipts totaling multiple thousands already invested.
It was taken down to bare frame (I have photos album). New Springs, Kingpins, shackles, shocks etc..All brakes were done, new cylinders and lines. It has a Modern Dual Power Brake master cylinder and upgraded transmission mount to clear the booster. All Bolt in in original spots. New hard brake lines are included and need installed. Wheel cylinders and brakes are all new.
The engine is a Chevy 235 from 58-62. It is a fresh rebuild with receipt showing complete build. I have all external motor parts included. (no muffler or exhaust included). I will sell "as is" or exchange the motor out for a GMC 270 I have with low original miles that ran perfect when I pulled it two years ago, stored in my shop). Trans is a three speed on the column with all linkage.
Body work was minimal as evident by original pictures of the truck. It is very solid and straight now. I would say the sheet metal is close to excellent. The paint is NOT excellent. It is driver quality. Looks good but has orange peel (mainly on the green). It has not yet been cut and buffed however. I do have extra paint to finish up and touch up. The running boards are very nice but still need painted.
The interior is complete and clean but it has not been painted. Interior will need everything.
The grill is Fresh Chrome and very nice. Complete and cost over $1000 to plate, receipts included.
I have a new front bumper, chrome in the box.
Glass is original and good. No Windshield included.
All new rubber for the truck included, needs installed. Everything is there, doors, cab, glass etc..
I have a new wiring harness in the box for it.
New hubcaps, new Tires. Spare tire carrier and deluxe heater included.
This is a very good start to a nice truck. I am told over $15000 was spent so far. I have receipts a bunch of it.
I have clear CA title on current Non-op so no back fees due.
I can deliver to port of Los Angeles/ Long Beach for $350 and Oakland/ Richmond Ports for $250
I can hold 30 day while transportation arrangements are made. Full payment within 7 days.
