Description
This is an original 1951 GMC PU Truck, Series 150 (3/4) ton pickup. The seat belts and turn signals were added in subsequent years because those options were not available or required in 1951. Original 6 volt electrical system (positive ground) AM radio, and starter on the floor. Three (3) Speeds plus aGrannygear. The original stock color was white; it was painted green about 20 years ago, theengine fender wells and firewall show the original white color. It appears to have the original wood bed. Everything works and operates except for the driver side spot light and the AM radio needs the speaker installed. I purchased the original factory speaker and it’s new in the box to be included in the sale. I also included in the boxes of parts including a new bulb for the spot light and extra parts for the radio (new) if needed. For the time I owned the truck I never drove it above 45-50 mph because of its age. Never have any issues except a new battery (6 Volt) put in this spring after the winter, it was 5 years old. It’s kept in the garage during the winter and I try to use the truck to keep it operable and used during the spring and summer. It has theoriginal 228 cu. in. V6 engine. The odometer is at 63,899.9 It Runs and Drives Great and can be a daily driver. There is one rust hole (pictured) inside the passenger door bottom of cab.I hold a clear title to this truck. This truck is a barn find and has not been changed from its original 1951character. Check the NADA Guide for range in value for this truck (September2016). Its $8,950 Low Retail to $25,400 for average retail (20 footer) and $50K for High Retail completelyrestored.Take a look out this video of the truck on YouTube.
