Car description

I have a 1964 GMC panel truck for sale. I wanted to build a Helm's Bakery Truck like the ones I saw as a kid. The trucks would come into our neighborhood and idle up and down the streets waiting for customers to stop them. Moms were grabbing loaves of bread and us kids were after the fresh donuts!
Anyway, fast forward to today. I have way too many projects and must prioritize them. The GMC is behind my 56 Chevy, 56 Pontiac and 65 Galaxie convertibles. That could take a while, so, I am offering the panel for sale.
The 305 V6 runs awesome! The Powerglide, 2 speed, automatic trans shifts great too. It drives real well. The brakes are good and the tires are brand new.
There is rust in the rockers and quarters as well as the front fenders and inner fender wells. The good news is that I have replacement fenders and inner fender wells that are used but completely rust free. I also have brand new replacement rocker panels. There are even a set of "shaved" front doors that are mint.
The only rust, in the whole truck, is at the bottom of the body. Luckily the roof, drip rails, cowl, windshield pillars etc. have zero rust.
The worst part of the truck is the right rear cargo door. I have located a very nice one. I will put the buyer in touch with the owner.
The windshield is broken and needs to be replaced. I do not have that but do have most everything else to fix it.
The generator has been replaced with an alternator. The fuel tank has been removed, cleaned and replaced.
I am pretty firm on my price. Please do not low ball me as I do not need to sell it.
My 56 Bel Air barn findconvertible is headed to the media blaster and I am waiting for parts for my 56 Starchief convertible. If we run out of things to work we will move ahead on the panel.
I have clear paperwork on it, in my name. It is not registered. There are no back fees. It has been placed on planned non operational status so I don't have to register on insure it while it waits it's turn in the shop. If it were registered you could probably drive it home! No overheating. No smoke.
I live in Southern California about 90 miles North of Santa Barbara and 10 miles South of Pismo Beach. I have a car trailer and can deliver it, up to 200 miles or so, after it is paid in full for $1 per mile round trip.
This is a great old school surfer wagon! Drop in your big or small block Chevy or Ford (UGH ) Hemi motor. Build a rat rod/hot rod add a Nova or Camaro clip etc. It has great patina! You may want to do the Helm's Bakery truck! Who knows! Call or text for faster response. Dana 805 550 8502Thanks for looking!Blessings!
