Car description

LET ME KNOW IF YOUR INTERESTED IN DOING SOMETHING EARLY. I CAN TALK VIA EMAIL OR PHONE. THANKS1956 GMC 350 MODEL COE LCF TRUCKThis is a neat old cab over GMC truck. I do have a usable windshield also that is included. These COE's make nice rod projects and can be fixed up in a variety of ways. People put flatbeds on them or regular boxes from the era. I've seen custom crew cabs built out of them and suburbans too. This truck is an LCF (low cab forward). They still have the good COE looks, ut have more room in the cab. I am 6'5" and I fit fine in it. The engine on an lcf isn't in the cab with you, hich on standard coe trucks gives you less room and they can get warm in the summer. I have a picture link with more pics of this truck and other custom trucks to give you an idea of the potential. It is almost rust free with the exception of one spot on a floorpan. The pans are solid for the most part. It does have a clear title. Here are all the details on the truck. I have a lot of experience shipping vehicles and can help with that process. MECHANICALThis truck has what looks to be, nd I'm pretty confident is, he original pontiac 316 engine. The engine runs great. It starts as it should and purrs. Choke works. It also has a fast idle setup that works nice for a PTO. I believe this does have the pto still. No knocks or ticks. Oil clean. No water in the oil or oil in the water. Runs cool. Supposedly has low miles and the engine looks like it. It's very clean and the paint looks newer. The engine doesn't smoke. Transmission is a 4-speed. It shifts nice and clutch and everything work as it should. Doesn't slip or jump. All gears work and I've driven it in all gears. Brakes work but need bled. Parking brake works also. Exhaust is quiet. All gauges work but speedometer didn't seem to. Heater works which is cool, nd rare for an old work truck like this. Lights and taillights work. I believe turn signals work but would have to double check that. This truck is not far from being a daily driver. If you want to go the low budget way: Shorten the frame, ut a period stepside longbox on it, o a little tinkering, indshield, nd be cruising. There is a lot of paint drips around on it which makes for a good ratrod/patina, ut I know many people will strip it. The body is in very nice shape for a project. No bondo that I can see. The yellow may be the original color but I forgot to double check the jams and stuff to see for sure. Very little rust which I'll detail: The passenger floorpan has a spot. A fairly easy fix, nd the majority of the floors are nice. You would not need to fix it for a ratrod, s the floor is completely solid and usable. Doors have minor rust in the bottom. Its and easy fix with sheetmetal, nd the rust is not in the outer skin. It will be easy for a bodyman or amateur to do. No rust in the cab corners, oof, teps, ood, enders, rame, tc. etc. No other rust through. Windshield included but new ones are the same chevy/gmc 1955-1959 pickups. They are readily available and not expensive. No large dents. Pretty straight actually. Doors and hood shut/latch as they should. Windows roll up/down. INTERIORNot much to talk about on these old trucks. Dash area is clean though and mostly original. Ashtray is still in it and glovebox door isn't torn off, hich is nice. Horn button is on it. Seat looks original. Doorpanels and handles are original. OVERALLA cool old COE project. These COE trucks get tons of attention at the car shows and on the street. This is a great one to start with and the original drivetrain can be used. It's easy to convert these to power steering and brakes, ithout going through the work of a complete drivetrain swap. Any way you do it, he truck will be cool. Thanks and happy bidding. Sold as-is.
