Up for sale is my 1991 Geo Metro XFi. I bought this Metro a couple years ago as a fun side project, ut unfortunately didn't get to drive it asmuch as I would like. It's time for a new roof on the house, o one of the extra cars has to go. If you're viewing this auction, ou probably already know quite a bit about Geo Metros, ut if not, ake sure to Google the XFi model. The original fuel saver car... people get 50+ mpgeasily withoutmodifications. Filled it up with gas today and it took a whopping $16 when it was near empty. As far as I can tell this car has 80,515 original miles! The previous owner told me they checked with thestate when registering it, nd there was no record of theodometer rolling over. When I ran a CarFax on it, othing showed reason tobelieve the milage wasn't accurate. Car is solid overall. I had a brand new windshield put in it because the old one had a crack that wouldn't pass state inspection. No check engine light on. Heat blows hot, ar doesn't have any temperature problems, nd the radiator fan cycles on and off like it should. Some rust and a dent on the passenger side, nly rust hole I found was on the bottom of the passenger side door. The small muffler in the middle part of the exhaust had holes in it, o it was replaced with a section of exhaust pipe. Exhaust is a little rattly. I think it's hitting a heat shield. The engine runs great and doesn't seem to burn any oil, ut as you can see in the one picture it is weeping oil, aybe at the oil pan gasket? Nothing enough to leave marks in the driveway. Breaks have some rust on them from it sitting, ut it should wear right off. Braking isn'taffected and there isn't any shuddering, ulsating pedal, tc when braking. The previous owner lost the keys... they replaced the steeringcolumn with a different one that came with a key. It didn't have a steeringcolumn cover when I bought it, o I fit it with one from a different year Metro. Doesn't really fit, ut covers it up. I have the ignition key, ut no key for the doors. I've read that the passenger door panel can be removed, nd there is a 4 digit code on the lock cylinder that can be used to have a locksmith cut a new key. I justhaven't had a need to lock it so I never did it.Back hatch doesn't stay up on its own, ould use new shocks and it'll be good as new. I took a bunch of pictures to try to show everything... if you don't see a picture you're looking for, lease ask and I'll get it for you! Please know that I've described everything as best as I can, ut I am not a mechanic. Any questions, 'll try to answer them best I can. If anyone is near by or wants to travel to look at the car or drive it, eel free! As is the case with most used cars, old as is.
