Car description |
---|
This is a very original good running 1973 Mach 1 with FMX automatic trans (code X), ower steering, ower disc brakes, onsole, ir conditioning, old down back seat, 51 Cleveland 2V, inch rear with 2.75 rear (code 2), actory tachometer, xtra gauge package, pace saver spare, ear spoiler, ront spoiler and NASA hood scoops. 69K original miles with owner's manual and lots of paperwork history. This Mach 1 has a nice, traight body in factory medium chestnut metallic (code 5M) and ginger interior (code AF). It was originally sold and lived in San Jose California (DSO 72) until it came to Virginia in the mid 1990s. That' s why the body has just minor rust. The floors are gorgeous rust free. Trunk floors are good. Minor rust bottom both rear quarters and around the tail lights. Perfect ginger dash pad. Has a good working quality 4-speaker stereo with equalizer for good sound. 15x7 Magnum 500 wheels. Nice original interior except front seat bottoms and headliner seams which are safety pined in place. Perfect original Ford glass. Doors close good. Excellent no-leak dual exhaust with no racing junk ever installed. Could use a wax job for ashine. Motor runs super quiet with no smoke (except a puff at cold start up) and good oil pressure. Nice rumble from leak free dual exhaust. Shifts good and stops good but right rear brake wheel cylinder leaks fluid. Air conditioning compressor is bad. Good radiator. Everything works except air conditioning and fan motor in heater/AC (I will check the fuse). Gas tank sprung pinhole leaks on the bottom so I am safely running the car off a small plastic gas slipped down the side rear quarter in the trunk--I am selling the car like this. Just changed oil, nstalled new fuel pump, new gas sending unit (in the trunk)and cleaned the carburetor. No fluid leaks visible. Tires are OK but old. I call her Copper Head Mach 1.
