1970 Ford F100 Short Bed Utility Body Truck & Vintage Trailer Combo, Very Rare!

Hello and thanks for clicking on my 1970 F100 phone truck & vintage trailer!

This is a very rare & unique truck that you don't find every day. It was built specifically for the Bell System for use with the utilty bed you see here.

Several years ago the truck was found in Georgia and brought to Virginia for refurbishment as a C&P Telephone truck. The vintage trailer that is included with this sale was found in Oregon and was also an original phone company piece. It was refurbished at the same time as the truck in matching colors.

At the time of refurbishment a new Jasper 300 cubic inch Ford 6 cylinder engine was purchased and installed in the truck and it now has less than 1000 miles since installation. The three speed transmission was kept but the shifter was moved from the column to the floor. A custom headliner was also fitted that contains integral speakers and an AM/FM/CD sound system.

The utility body is supposed to be one of only 50 built. Itis steel with a molded fiberglass top. It has doors tool & parts drawers and lots of cubby holes for storage. There is a trailer hitch on the back with an integral step which appears to be original to the truck.

This tough Ford truck starts runs drives & stops very well with no issues whatsoever. It doesn't smoke leak or make funny noises. It could be used as a daily driver if so desired.

The small amount of rust was addressed when the truck was disassembled however some bubbling is present on the lower edges of the doors the drivers side front fender and the rear doors of the utility body.

The trailer is titled as a 1950 unit and has a large storage area inside the rear doors. The smaller doors have been sealed and are not operable. This is a heavy duty trailer with 6 lug wheels and a steel body fenders & top.

Everything you see in the pictures is included with this sale. That includes the truck trailer and all the contents which includes some vintage phone equipment spare tires for truck & trailer some tools a sign board for displaying the vehicle a C&P hardhat & work jacket etc etc. Also included is a Magellan Maestro nav unit a photo book of the truck before during & after refurbishment and a thick file of receipts documenting the many thousands of dollars spentbringing this piece of American history back to life.

This rare combination is 100% ready to go and needs nothing to be used & enjoyed right now. You can fly in and drive home!
