This is a very nice example of a restored 1958 Ford "Skyliner" The Skyliner was a complex mechanism which folded the front of the roof and retracted it under the rear decklid. It had three roof motor drive motors driving four lift jacks four door-lock motors ten solenoids four locking mechanisms for the roof and a total of 610 feet of wiring! Restored in the original factory color paint codes (GA) G = Sun Gold with Raven black= paint code A. Body series was 51A for Fairlane "500" Hide-Away Hardtop date code for production was November 13 1957 Transmission was a code (4) for a three speed Cruise-O-matic with a rear axle code (6) for a 2.69.1 gears a true highway cruiser! The paint is fantasticand all of the chrome and trimarethe same. The top goes up and down as it should and the car drives very nice down the road. These cars are very collectible and extremely expensive and time consuming to restore.
