This `55 F-100 went through an extensive restoration beginning in 2003 by its former North Carolina owner w/ many parts supplied by Southern Rods and Parts producing this beautiful RestoMod w/ "Old School" touches. Present owner since 2004 has performed regular maintenance including current. Gold metallic paint is of Show quality in areas. exhibiting minor orange peel. (roof & cab back) chips (door edges) & cracking over filler in tailgate & minor crazing on left rear fender bottom. Being done over 10 yrs. ago. it obviously had good prep & has held up very well & was most likely in the #2 category when completed. All panels are straight. rust-free w/ good gaps & fit except bottom of driver's door. All chrome except door glass frames is painted. rear fenders are fiberglass. shaved door handles w/ push-buttons. Oak bed is VG. but will need a re-varnish in the future. Glass. wheels. tires. weather-stripping & lenses all V. G. All emblems omitted except for Ford logo on tailgate & behind doors. Chromed parts w/ braided lines. 4 bbl. Holley AVENGER w/ Inline Fuel Meter sits atop Edelbrock Aluminum HI-Rise Intake. Headers into Dual FLOWMASTERS w/ Side Chrome Trumpet Extensions. Power Drum F & R. TH-350 Auto. Ford Rear. Undercarriage: Undercarriage is clean w/ no noticeable drips. leaks or any rust. All bushings. shocks etc in VG condition. A little wiping will bring it up to Show presentation. Mustang Front Clip. remainder stock appearing but lowered significantly giving it that "Old School" rake. Road Test/Mechanically: Starts easily w/ a real lope in the idle that sounds raucous coming out of the side FLOWMASTERS. Nice shifting trans. w/ light. precise steering. Impressive acceleration & braking is even & straight. A little more pedal pressure than discs is required. but still very effective. Truck was idling for about 35 minutes on an 80 degree day while many of the pics were taken w/ no overheating problems or leaks.
