Don't sit on the sidelines and WATCH this one get away. Bid NOW and with CONFIDENCE. up for consideration is my really solid 1966 Fairlane XL 500. Originally a Florida car. I've owned it since 2004 and enjoyed the heck out of her. Finances have changed. however. which is why you see her here. Car has been stored every winter I've owned her here in the Northeast. Hoping the winning bidder continues to give her a good home and care. Never had a major mechanical problem with the car. and nothing currently needs mechanical attention. The car runs strong and passed NY State inspection in December before being stored for the winter. What she's got:390FE engine (badges say 406). FMX transmission. dual Flowmaster exhaust and headers. 650 cfm Edelbrock carb and intake. 9 inch posi rear with 3:50 gears. Monroe Max Air adjustable shocks. fiberglass A/FX hood and fiberglass front bumper. BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Centerline Auto Drag wheels. The structure of the car is solid. Frame rails. torque boxes. rocker panels are all in good condition. She still has original vinyl interior. bucket seats up front and a racing seat belt in driver's seat. The gas tank was replaced about two years ago. I also have the original hood (dented in one corner. the original steering wheel. a set of new floor pans. and a car cover that will go with the car. Original hood is painted red. What needs attention:Body has very minor rust in spots (see pictures). Chrome bumper has very light rust that is only visible if observed closely. May need a new passenger window crank. I haven't investigated. but crank just spins without lowering the window. Gas cap may need replacement. The cap from the old tank never fit the new tank quite right. but it does the job. I never drove the car in the rain. but wiper blades need replacement. Email me with any questions. Sorry. folks. but I'm not interested in a trade. Please don't ask. Winning bidder to pay all shipping and transportation costs. but I can assist with arrangements. Car can also be picked up and driven from it's current storage location in New Fairfield. Connecticut. Winning bidder should contact me directly upon auction's end and submit payment within five days.
