Offered for sale is a very rare 1965 Mustang GT painted Emberglow. Here is some details about this car including special features and any issues I know of:The Emberglow paint was offered only for the 1966 model year. but could be special ordered in '65. This has to be one of very few 1965 Emberglow Mustangs ever built. Vin Number breakdown (5F07A795791):5-- model year 1965F-- assembly plant: Dearborn. Engine has been rebuilt sometime in the late 1990's. . 030 over. I bought this car in February of 2003 from the owner of several car dealerships in the Bay Minette. AL area. It was one of his personal cars before deciding to sell it to buy a new Ford GT. The engine has several upgrades his dealership did at that time. Included is an Edelbrock Intake Manifold. Holly 650 cfm Avenger Carb. . Accel ignition. (I still have the original steering wheel. intake manifold and carb. )Per the dealership. the Mustang has 83. 00 original miles when I bought it. I cannot confirm this from any paper trail. but can say that it now has 86. 30 miles on the odometerThe C4 tranny includes a Cobra shift kitHas a Shelby suspension. lowered 1-inch from stockShelby springs and exhaust system3. 55:1 limited slip rear axle addedWheels upgrade from 14 to 15 inch. I believe they are vintage 1967 wheels. but not certain. The dealership installed new front bake calipers/pads. Car has front disc brakes. drum rearsThe interior is mostly original. including the original seats. door trim and carpeting (due to fading. the carpet was dyed in 2003). The dash pad. rear window tray. the gage cluster. steering wheel. and glove box cover have been replaced. Listed below are any of the issues I am aware of:As stated above. the factory air is not working at this time. I do not think it is a compressor issue or anything major. but cannot say for sure. The Rally Pac clock does not work. although the Tach does. The heater core leaks (rather than replace it. I just bypassed the heater core radiator hoses)The interior glove box is missing (the original was made of cardboard. and just deteriorated from age)The radio in the car is not original. and the speaker was removed (also had just deteriorated from age). Of the gages in the instrument cluster. the Oil Pressure and Water Temperature gages work. The Fuel Level and Voltage gages do not work. I elected to keep the original trunk mat. even though it is ripped. as well as kept the original jacking instructions even though they are partially torn also. Just liked the nostalgia. There is a genuine 1965 Owner's manual. but it is not the one which came with the car. The dealership put new P205 R60 tires on the car when I bought it. but that was in 2003. There is less than 5K miles on the tires. and the vehicle has always been garage stored. but they are now over 12 years old. The paint is in good condition but it is not flawless. There is a small rough area on the top of the front driver's side fender. and a small flaw on the roof top. driver's side near the rear seat area. The door sills and trunk have the original paint. NADA values shown for this vehicle are $30. 2K for the average retail. and $45. 8K for high retail. I would like to emphasize that this car is being sold AS IS. There is no explicit or implied warranty. The buyer is responsible for shipping.
