Up for auction is a STUNNING 1934 Ford Roadster. Really a show car. but can be driven anywhere! This is a very well built high end hot rod with no compromise on quality. You will be hard pressed to find a street rod with this detail and quality anywhere! For starts. yes this car is titled as a 34 ford so historic plates and collector insurance can be used. The car has a clean NJ title. but has not been registered. This 1934 beauty is a true "old school" build. There are brand new disc brakes up front and and brand new drums at the rear. The car was built with top quality components and the best of everything. even all the hardware is stainless steel! This was close to a $80. 00 build finished in 2012. The car was built with the purpose of being sold at Barrett Jackson (hence all the detail and amazing under body). Unfortunately due to illness in the family of the builder/owner. the car never made the trip to the auction block. Yes. there is ONE HUNDRED AND Sixty Two Miles on this machine!!! It was just a gem tucked away in the builders garage. for his eyes and pleasure only. Now. for the first time. this elegant show piece is for sale to the general public . With a brief history of the car out of the way. lets get into some of the details. The body is a customized FiberFab body. and is amongst the strongest and most solid bodies money can buy. Prior to being built a 220lb plus man stood on the fender of this car and it didn't budge! No wood reinforcement like cheaper bodies have. All supports and reinforcements are steel. The chassis was custom fabricated and engineered to handle up to 700hp (at this point in the build it wasn't yet determined how radical the engine would be). The cars power plant is a brand new blueprinted crate 350ci/350hp Chevy that is bulletproof. The 350hp this car has can move this 2600lb beauty very fast and its a real pleasure to drive and cruise. The motor has 8. 5 to 1 compression. flat top pistons. Crane cam. and a single Edelbrock 650cfm 4bbl carb. The engine is completely sorted out with not so much a single drop of oil leaking at the engine. pan or anywhere underneath. The trans is a TCI turbo 400 backed by a Ford 8 1/2 rear end and 3. 55 gears. This car handles. runs. and shifts beautifully. The body is painted with a custom blended 1993 corvette ruby red with 10% additional black and 10% pearl added to the standard mix. The hood and detail around the cabin is painted in gloss black. It really has a high end. classy. elegance to it. The paint job is a $12. 00 body off piece of artwork. It plain and simple works fantastically on this car and shows beautifully. The driver seat is power leather and both seats look great with absolutely no imperfections. Ididit chrome tilt steering. and beautiful white face gauges. The roll bar is real. it connects to the frame and is made from high strength Chrome Alloy. The running boards have custom machined step plates on them. To be a bit different from the crowd. the engine compartment was done with silver metal flake rather than being painted as the body. The trunk is not upholstered and is painted in the same metal flake as the engine compartment. The trunk is very large. The under body of this car is really a show piece on its own. Everything is painted to match the body or done in chrome. With exception of this 34. I have never seen a car that looked anything close to this underneath. The detail is superb. and if you plan to show this vehicle you'll need mirrors to show the bottom of the car. Another really neat touch is the exhaust. The car has cut outs that dump under the running boards as well as full tail pipes that meet mufflers at the rear axle. When the dumps are closed. the car sounds like a tamed beast. not loud. but just the right rumble. then when you open the side pipes (open them from inside the cab). its a new animal. It goes from tame to wild with a loud roar and deep rumble that is a melody. Not only does it function great. it looks great!!! The paint is as smooth as glass. all gauges and lights work. push button start. the car is really brand new. The car comes with a custom Tonneau cover that snaps into place and chrome bumpers (if that look is preferred). The wheelies have been removed to give the car a sleeker look. but come with the sale and are very easy to reinstall. I stated this hot rod is an "old school build". there is no air conditioning (who needs that in a roadster show car. remember the highly sought after old MGB's no air. no power steering). no top except for the custom Tonneau cover that fits over the entire cabin including the roll bar and steering wheel. As noted. there is no power steering. but the coil over shocks. hydraulic control arms and rack and pinion set-up makes it a breeze to steer with medium effort (the effort reminds me of my 2005 BMW M5 Coupe). My reserve price is low enough for a new owner to get a top. and vintage air installed and would make this roaster a $50. 00+ machine (the reserve is much. much lower than that!). The car has a driver side power seat and power windows. Brand new California hot rod rear view high gloss black mirrors have been added to the car (door mounted). but do not appear in pictures. They perfectly match the black hood. I could go on and on forever. and I know I am missing something so please feel free to ask questions. EVERYONE. AND I DO MEAN EVERYONE. SAYS "WOW.
