1959 Ford Galaxie Skyliner loaded with Options

Hello everyone! Here is your chance to own one of the classic cars of the fifties. This 1959 Galaxie Skyliner is the perfect car for some one looking for one they can afford and don't mind doing some work themselves. This car was originally restored in the 1970's by a former owner who repainted it the red/white you see here. It was originally an all colonial white car with a turquoise interior. but as you can see. he changed the interior to red/white too. I have a new door tag from Marti if you want to keep it this way. or use the original paint and trim code found on the door sill. The car itself is very solid. It does have surface rust in the underside of the hood. on the inner roof and a little in the trunk area. but should be an easy fix. There is a small dime size hole on the lower rear drivers door. The undercarriage was coated with protectant at one time and looks really good. The engine I believe is the original 332 V8 and runs well. I don't know if it has been rebuilt. or not. The fuel pump went out and I purchased a new one for it. but due to health issues. have been unable to install it. I took it to the All Ford Show at Knotts Berry Farm 2 years ago. The interior could use to be replaced or redone because it was sitting outside for awhile. The seats have good padding but the seams on the front seat have come loose. The door panels are in fair shape. The optional padded dash is sunburnt beyond repair. Now. for the good part. This car has some great options! It has factory Air Conditioning. power seat. power brakes. power steering. power windows (all work) and front and rear bumper guards. adjust o ring mirrors and the rear sport wheel carrier (continental kit). The top went up and down the last time I tried it. but is needs adjustment as you have to guide it in to the locks when you put it up. It will need a little work on it because of surface rust under the headliner. plus a new headliner and the package tray on the roof where the bottom of the windshield is bent up a bit and will need bent back down. All the glass is in good condition. The tires are almost new redials. I will also include a set of reproduction 14 inch wide white walls on rims. The car also includes the stainless steel fender skirts. an original Town and Country radio with faceplate. Don't know if it works. I have an owner manual and a shop manual too. I will include any other pieces that I can find. The front bumper is decent. but the rear could use a rechrome. I am including a good rear core bumper tooThe exhaust from the mufflers back are fairly new. but the exhaust tubes from the manifolds back to the mufflers will need replaced as it has a noisy exhaust leak and several holes are in the right side exhaust pipe. This is a good solid car that will make some one a wonderful restoration project. or you can resto-mod it to your taste. I hate to sell it. but I just don't have time for it anymore. I have a new job which keeps me on the road most of my free time. Please look at the pictures to see the condition for yourself. I would imagine it has probably turned over. but the former owner informed me that it was driven very little. First. the car has a custom steering wheel in it. but it does come with the original steering wheel with a nice horn ring and power steering center emblem. I also am going to include a set of re-chromed factory oval exhaust deflectors that have not been installed yet. I work full time and am normally not available on weekdays. so whomever wins the auction. the best day for me regarding pickup of the car. either personally. or by shipper. would be on a Saturday.
