1970 Ford Mustang Coupe 302 V8 2V Autolite Carburator AC. C4 Automatic Transmission. Orignal Owner CALIFORNIA CAR with California Blue plates. Here is the deal with the Mustang. We were helping a lady from Church with an estate sale and she had this Mustang sitting on her side garage. it had been sitting there for a while. I told her I would help her sell it. she decided to just sell it to me and be done with the car (I paid more then I wanted for it). It did not run when I got it. I took it home rebuilt the Carburetor. drained the fuel. replaced the fuel lines. put a new solenoid. starter. changed the oil. drained the radiator flushed out the car and replace the fluid with preston and deionized water and cleaned the car. I then tuned the car. and took it into the Shop for the final tune up. The Car fired up and ran excellent. The transmission shifts hard into second and ok into third. it needs adjusting but it does drive nice once it shifts. I don't want to put anymore money into the Car. It's a nice original 95% rust free California car. Original paint. it has a couple dings in the top near rear pillar. and front extension. not hard fix. The rear bumper is bent. but not into the car. There is rust in the trunk see pictures. not bad but will need some work there. There is no other rust. the Car has been in California its whole life. and in the Central Valley the last 25 years (dry climate). This is an original owner Car. the title is still in the original owners name. it is registered in California with a Non Operation. The car will come with my Bill of Sale and her title which is signed and ready to go. I did not want to break the chain of the original owner. You need to be the second owner. The car is very nice. as for number matching this is what I found. Engine number is 3A154078Carburator Tag is DO AF O Line 2 is B J 23Intake Manifold is 10E-9425-AAFull disclosure:According to the owner the engine has never been out of the car. As far as I can tell that appears to be accurate. Now my only question is the number on the back of the engine on the 302 near the Transmission is not a partial serial number. like my 1968 Mercury Cougar is. So I can't say with 100 percent certainty it is a number matching car. because of that. Maybe a Mustang expert that could shed some light on why. I know Ford did not always stamp their motors and the big blocks don't even have numbers. just casting numbers. The intake matches 1970 numbers. The car comes with the original steel wheels and 3 wheel covers (one is missing). The interior is very good. minus the drivers side seat. needs a new cover. The dash is toast. as all California dash pads. The gauges work accept for fuel gauge (probably needs a new float and gasket 20. 00). The turn signals work. The raido is original AM. Air Conditioned car. but does not work. The floors are excellent. no rust. the doors have no rust the rear window has no rust. The only rust is in the trunk. Paint is original nice patina. but shot. the hood is excellent. the stainless has a couple dings and sits high on back. tried to adjust the springs. needs more adjusting. Ok I am open to offers. but I need to recoup what I have in it at a minimum or my kids will get to drive this car in high school. It drives very nice like a 111. 00 mile car. front is tight. no squeaks. It would cost $200. 00 to tune up the C4 Transmission or $600. 00 to rebuild it. I have driven it 10 miles (it has a Non OPP). She is ready to go. Make offers. Message me for questions and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks For Looking.
