1958 Ford F-100 Step Side Pickup V8 Great running and driving truck

1958 Ford Step side F100 Pickup V8 This is a Great running and driving truck. A lot of work has been done already and the really great part. you can drive it and enjoy it now and it is an excellent full restoration or rat rod candidate. The truck is in excellent condition for an original truck. The step side F-100’s are more desirable and hard to find in this condition. The work that has been done on the truck which is described below. ensures it runs and drives well and safely. The truck shows about 29. 00 miles. I honestly don’t know if that is 29. 00 or 129. 00 although it sure seems like a low mile truck as nothing is worn out on the frame or suspension. Engine – original 272 V8. three speed manual transmission with the shift on the column. New battery and battery cables. New master cylinder and some of the brake lines are replaced. The other lines are in great shape. The brakes work great. New Air Filter New hot coated headers and a dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Chrome tips on the dual exhaust. I removed the original manifolds and the cross over pipe and had headers installed. I have the original parts if you want them. The truck sounds great with the Flowmasters on it. The engine runs. idles and shifts very well. It starts right up with no issues. The radiator has clean coolant and no leaks. Alternator works. Basically the engine is solid and running good. Tires and wheels are brand new. They are Rocket aluminum wheels. Grill is in great shape. could use re-chroming or paint it. No dings or damaged parts. Only light pitting. The valance pan in the front is in great original condition. That good of a condition for areas like that on the truck makes me think it is low mileage. Interior The floors are all good. no rot in the floors at all and no repairs. The seat is original. The dash is in good shape and all the dash lights and indicators work. There is no radio. The good part of that is that no one has hacked up the dash for a new style radio. Glove box opens well. The gas tank behind the seat has been removed. New gas tank in between frame rails. The step to get in the cab on both sides has a metal repair. I have purchased the correct metal stamped pieces to replace those if you want to. The ones installed now do work. Exterior Original paint or maybe one repaint. can’t honestly tell. The bed rails are in great shape along with the bed sides and the tail gate. Really great shape for a tail gate. It opens and latches nicely. The body overall is in great shape. only surface pitting. The issues are: the bed step on the passenger side has rot where the fender meets the step. The doors have a few rust bubbles on the bottom of the outside only. The inside bottom of the door is solid. The hood has one rust hole spot in the front underneath. The cab corners are completely solid. I think someone may have repaired them. not sure. If they are repaired. they did a great job and it is all metal. The cab still has the old gas filler neck in it. Front bumper is great shape and the rear bumper is brand new. New driving light lenses. New tail lights. The frame is in great shape with no holes or rust through at all. very solid and no damage. Suspension is in really good driving condition. Bed Installed is a new plastic fuel tank between the rails and new plumbing. It has a filler neck on it now. I have the filler port if you want to make it a flush mounting when you install the wood. The sending unit is wired to the gage in the dash. There is a new cross brace that comes with it. Sorry. no bed wood although those kits are available in a lot of places. The back glass and door glass is good. The windshield has one ding in it. The truck comes with plugs. plug wires and a distributor cap. I did not put them on since it is running very well now. It also comes with a new fan belt. New in the package Windshield and back glass rubber comes with the truck. I was holding off putting that in until the interior work was done. If you select the Buy it Now option. I will throw in a brand new one wire alternator. This is a great running and driving truck which you can cruise in now and restore if or when you want to. Really great shape for an older step side truck. The good part is you could find any part for this you wanted as most Ford trucks from 1957 to 1972 have all the part available. The better part is you don’t need many parts at all with the work that has been done and the parts you get with it. Please feel free to ask any questions.
