Car description

Selling for a friend this truck has been maintained and always a Florida Truck. The 5.0 runs well with no smoke from the exhaust, there is a small oil leak coming from the oil pan area, I did not check to see exactly from where. The emissions pump has been removed. The transmission shifts well. The undercarriage has minimal rust. The exterior is in need of serious attention because the paint is actively peeling, it appears to have had a repaint that was done poorly, clear coat is peeling also. The windshield does have a chip on the lower portion out of direct eye sight with no signs of traveling. Rust that has gone through on the drivers side roof had been poorly repaired with bondo which is deteriorating and need to be redone professionally. There is also rust on the top inside of both door jambs. On the lower portion of the vehicle is surprisingly rust free such as the lower doors. Rust is also on the lower part of the tailgate which has rusted through. The bed is rust free. I found it odd that this vehicle has rust in uncommon areas and no rust on the commonly rusted areas on similar trucks. The interior is in nice condition and everything works as it should except for the right turn signal, is does not lock into place when it is activated, you must hold it until the turn is complete, the left turn works as it should. All of the interior lights work well, dash and warning lights all good. The AC Blows cold and I believe it has been retro fitted for the new freon, however, not 100% sure. The original radio works, however, a little static when adjusting the volume. The cruise control is not working because the cable that connects it to the carb did break, I believe it is a $20.00 part that is easily obtainable. The rubber floor covering is cracking in some areas. The original headliner is clean and free of any tears, however, it is dropping a little between the sun visors and the passenger side visor is being held up by a clip. The dash pad is in great condition with no cracks, the bench seat is firm and has been covered for many years, I have never seen the seats so I cannot comment on the condition, the seat cover was tied onto the frame in knots and I do not want to cut it. I have a good feeling that the seats are in good condition because they have been covered for at least 10 years. It does have a common problem that most of these older trucks have is when it rains hard, water enters from the engine compartment and drips onto the interior floor. I have read up on that issue and the culprit is usually water riding down the cables which enter through the firewall. Some sealant should correct that issue. The tires have plenty of thread life, however, they are dated. The brakes start out a bit grabby and spongey when you first get started, however, stops well with no pulling. The steering is good although may have a little play. The Leer Cap is in good condition and the rear window is lockable, however, the side sliding windows do not open because they were sealed. The cab sliding window work well both in the cab and the cap. Great truck and the only reason for selling it is because my friend is losing his parking facility. Please ask any questions that you may have before bidding and inspect all of the pictures carefully because I do not accept returns. What you see is what you get. I have described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge and ability, is there a chance that I may have missed something, absolutely, it is a 35 year old vehicle and issues may arise at anytime. I have a folder full of maintenance receipts along with a booklet that the original owner used to record every little thing that was done to the truck during his ownership. 0 Feedback ebayers need not apply, your bid will be canceled unless you can convince me that you are a serious buyer. Please do not bid and waste my time if you do not plan on completing the sale. Thanks
