Relisted- buyer did not complete purchase. Here is a beautiful and elegant 1935 Ford Deluxe Fordor Sedan. I purchased this car from a dealer in Oklahoma for my father who passed away last year. Most of the information and history I am presenting is from the recent owner. The car originated in California and showcases its original body and undercarriage. Before I had it professionally painted it was and remains a rust-free car. This Deluxe Fordor is powered by its original 221ci V8 Flat Head engine which is fed with a Stromberg carburetor and runs strong.Factory rated 85 HP, this engine is turn-key. The 3-speed transmission and clutch shifts smoothly. The firewall is in excellent condition. The car has always been garage kept in dry climate conditions. There are currently 60,842 miles on the car.
The undercarriage boasts remarkable original floorboards. The X-Frame undercarriage is in good condition throughout.
The Deluxe Fordor model boasted twin taillights, bright windshield molding, grill trim work and exposed dual horns. This car is equipped with its correct Ford wire wheels with chrome hubcaps and glamor rings as well as factory installed folding luggage rack. The spare tire locks and gas cap lock in place with the original ignition key. The car is also optioned with fog king lamps. The Deluxe also showcases a special chrome front grill with a horizontal bar across the front.
The interior showcases beautiful Mohair interior throughout. The upholstery is very nice throughout the car. This includes door panels, seating, and headliner. The dash has stunning original gauges along with a rare factory clock and radio.
This car runs, shifts, brakes, and tracks straight. I would not hesitate to drive it on a road trip.
I will also critique the car to the best of my ability so there will be no surprises to the next owner.
1. -Needs new door seals of which I have the material. I have replaced one passenger side door. I do not have the time to replace the other doors.
2. -Roof fabric panel has a spot on the front that needs attention.
3. -I think the car originally had a rear window shade which is missing.
4. -There is a small indention on the bonnet about 2â€long. It is barely visible, but it is there. I wish I knew where it came from.
5. -I did not paint the driver side door jams because it had an original maintenance tags from 1947 which I found unique.
6. -I do not know if the radio works and I do not know where to begin to check it out.
In 2009, the car was appraised at $25,000.00. The paint job was $8,000.00. Asking price $23,000.00 Please message me with any questions you may have or if there are any other photos you would like to see.
