I'm selling my 1990 Ford Taurus SHO. The car has 165. 00 milesThis SHO runs great. but has some light rust issues. The black metal strips on each door are rusted through and there are a couple rust spots of both front doors. The underside of the car is surprisingly rust free! Compared to many of the other Gen 1 SHOs you see. the rust really isn't as bad as it could be. especially for a car that's spent most of its life in and around New England. The interior is in excellent condition. minus some minor wear on the driver's side seat bolster. The interior even still has a nice smell to it. Fresh maintenance performed last spring including new water pump. main seals. crank seals. cam seals. timing belt. These maintenance items are recommended every 60. 00 miles. The car also has a brand new alternator. The previous owner also had a nice touch screen unit installed in the dash with a small subwoofer in the trunk. Mods include stainless steel SHOsource exhaust with equal length "Y" pipe and high-flow cats. and ported and gasket matched intake manifold (see screenshot of SHOsource email receipt). New K&N drop in air filter too. As stated. the car runs great and the only issues are the blend door actuator (air only blows out of the vents). and inoperable cruise control (The cable needs to be replaced) This is a fun. reliable classic that's fun to drive! On Mar-29-15 at 10:47:13 PDT. seller added the following information:Edit: Someone asked for clarification with the blend door actuator issue. What it means is that air only blows out of either the panel vents. or the floor. or a combination of the two. The defroster doesn't work very well. There is usually enough air coming out to keep the windshield clear. but if not. I usually just vent the sunroof and that clears it up fine. Temperature controls work fine. A/C condition unknown. Someone else asked about transmission condition. I've never had any issues at ll with the transmission. Doesn't grind in any gear. as long as you keep in mind that the reverse gear is unsynchronized. so you need to put it in a forward gear before engaging reverse. or it will grind. This is totally normal. Clutch also grabs nicely. The CARFAX report says the clutch was replaced in 1998 at 109. 00 miles. Struts. sway bar links. and valve cover gasket were replaced in 2010. The suspension feels nice and tight with no odd noises. On Mar-29-15 at 11:57:32 PDT. seller added the following information:Full CARFAX report available by request. I can email a PDF file.
