Car description

Look who just turned “50” years old… this 1965 CLASSIC FORD MUSTANG 2 DOOR HARDTOP. This is a very clean car in good condition. I have a copy of the original purchase title work dated 3/6/69 showing ownership through one dealership and two private owners before myself. There is a clear and good title to the car. We are very honest and have 100% positive feedback on eBay. The car has been garage kept and then covered! It has approximately 139. 84 miles and approximately 20. 00 on the rebuilt engine per the previous owner. It is a 6 cylinder engine (straight six); 200 cubic in. automatic transmission with cruise-o-matic. Tires are P185/80R13 M+S Firestone Supreme and appear to be in ok/good shape. We have original owner’s manual and the radio owner’s manual. The owner’s manual says the “vehicle code 65C-X-36-2YR-26-2-6”. The interior is black and in very good condition! There is no damage or blemishes that I can see other than a small 2 ½” tear/crack near the bottom of the driver’s side door panel and the driver’s side door arm rest has a small crack in it. There are no marks/scratches on the dash or instrument panel. glass or ceiling. The steering wheel has a black wrapping on it. There is a pull down arm rest between the front seats. The front seats pull forward for back seat access. It has seat belts in the front. All systems appear to function fine with the except that the gas gauge does not work. the turn signals don’t always work (maybe a short?) and there is one “clearance” light (yellow) that is a below the grill that is not currently operating. It may be just a bulb…but want to be accurate. There is a spare tire (Hallmark 200 Polycore) that appears older but the tread looks good and a jack in the trunk. The car runs good. It has not been driven in the last several years other than to drive in a lot and idling to keep in running order. Mostly just parked inside and covered. The body paint metallic burgundy. Is does not appear to be the original paint. There are some paint blemishes if you look close. There are no rust spots. no holes in sides or floor boards. etc. The blemishes in the paint I can see are (when I say “spot” I mean blemish – not rust or rusted through or hole. etc!): On the driver’s side just below the back ½ window a paint “cracking” place approximately 1”-2”Spot above the wheel well of the front driver side tire that is approximately 1”Spot on the lower half of passenger door that is approximately 2”Round spot on top of car that is approximately 1”3 small spots on front panel on drivers sideSmall scratch on right side piece below rear bumper that is approximately 1”Spot on lower half of passenger door that is approximately 2” x ¾”2 small gouges under the back door bumper on the passenger side that is approximately 3” in the paint and another that is approximately 1 ½” On the back of car on the drivers side there is a chip that is approximately ¼” that was touched up above the light3 small paint chips/cracks by headlight frame on drivers sideA small chip on hood on drivers side A small mark with no paint on drivers side grill paint that is approximately 1”Faint abrasion above passenger back wheel that is approximately 1” longSmall marks on inside of truck lid There are no rust spots. holes through the metal or spots that “move when pushed” like weak metal. I am very honest and just want to detail everything that I can see so you don’t have to guess at the condition. If you look underneath the car you can see some rust ( which I understand is very normal) but it isn’t flaking off or rusted through. etc. It is 50 years old :). Below is a list of known work that has been done on the car – this list was provided to me from the previous owner – so I do not know details. Transmission pan leak repaired in 2007Shifter tightened and gear linkage adjusted in 2007Tie rods. ball joints. arms and shocks replaced in 2003AM/FM Mustang cassette radio installed in 2003 (still have original radio also)Muffler replaced in 1990Drum brakes and heater core replaced in 90’sMaster oil cylinder replaced a few years ago It is appraised by NADA for several thousand dollars above the starting price but you are encouraged to do your own research. I have also been told by one local person that this car is unique/rare for the year and model to have the seats division and style. We are NOT CAR COLLECTORS. car experts. mechanics by any means :). We will try our best to answer any questions but we have very limited car. specifically engine knowledge. We will be happy to take pictures of specific areas of the car and forward to you. This car has been owned by my family for several years but not driven much and purchased as a gift for someone older who loves Mustangs. More of a “trophy” car for looking at vs driving. Just thinking of selling now to have the garage space. This car is sold with no warranty and the sale is final so make sure you want what you are bidding on. This 50 year-old vehicle is sold as-is. with no warranty. and is represented as accurately as can be. to the best of our knowledge. Serious buyers are welcome to make an appointment to inspect the car or have it inspected on sire. Please send an email with your contact information and the best time to call to schedule this. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle. and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. Please ensure you have the purchase price in full prior to bidding!! YOU ARE BIDDING TO OWN! You are not bidding to look at the car – You are bidding to BUY the car. Buyer is 100% responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service. we will gladly cooperate. If a shipping company is used by the Buyer. that company must be fully bonded and insured to protect the Buyer and Seller. The shipping company must do a full inspection (buyers responsibility) to accurately document how the car looked prior to shipping! We know what we are selling. but we don’t know how it will travel or arrive at your location! The car is located in Bethesda. Ohio 43719. This is approximately 100 miles east of Columbus Ohio and 30 miles west of Wheeling WV – just a few miles off I-70. Please use Googlemaps. mapquest. etc to find distance to your location. Please note we will need to schedule a pick up date/time a few days in advance. Shipping companies must provide a specific date and time window. not just pick up when they “come through” the area. Seller reserves the right not to sell to any bidder with a 0 or negative feedback or to any bidder outside the US. Seller also reserves the right to end the auction early. This will be a great car whether you are buying for yourself. as a gift. for resale or are looking to customize. Thank you for considering our car!
