1965 FORD MUSTANG COUPE, 289, 4-BRL, C-4 NUMBERS MATCH, EX. COND (video)

1965 Ford Mustang 2-door hardtop with its matching numbers 289 cu. in Windsor engine, Holley 480 cfm 4-barrel carburetor, and C-4 automatic transmission. VIN#: 5T07A197356.

This Mustang was purchased by the current owner 2 years ago from the original owner who kept it garaged when not in use. Evidence of the original ownership was discovered when the present owner purchased the car and retitled it using the November 1965 title. Unfortunately, it was not retained. The mileage showing (56,504) is original and did not roll over.

Present owner had the car painted to a color close to the original Caspian Blue. New doors were added, but all of the other body panels are original. NO patch or flooring panels were replaced. The paint job is a good 10-footer and does have some ripples, chips, and a small scrape. No rust or bubbling.

Interior was also redone in the original blue vinyl with the matching carpeting. All of the factory gauges including the speedometer function normally. The aftermarket radio lights up but does not come on. Headliner is original.

The 289 V-8 Windsor engine rated at 210 h.p. is original to the car and has never been rebuilt. New items include dual exhaust, several hoses, fuel filter, fuel tank, battery, brakes, dual bail master cylinder, tires, basic tune-up, and a rebuilt carburetor.

All of the exterior lights, wipers, turn signals, brake lights, and horn work as normal to a ’65 Mustang.

The glass is original and in good condition. Windows go up and down easily. Chrome is original and shows some pitting on the front clips, but otherwise looks good.

It is a pleasure to drive but please keep in mind that it is a 1965 Mustang and there are no power brakes nor power steering.
