Car description

NO RESERVE!!
This is a 1929 Ford Model A, Murray FORDOR Sedan. A real classic! Murray Body number M651-16850. This is an original rust free car which went through a restoration in the mid-60s from what I was told. The car has 92,961 original miles on the functioning speedometer and runs and stops smoothly. Has a solid 3 speed manual transmission with an inline 4 generating 40 hp. The car is in very good mechanical condition with new shocks, alternator, 6 volt electrical system, modern points, automatic timing advance and new floor boards in the front seat area. I have also refurbished the oil pump, Distributer, Steering gear box, lights, starter, and horn. Also installed a new Brassworks original style radiator and leak-less water pump allowing the car to run cool, even in the heat of the South East Louisiana summer. The car has been kept as close to original as possible, only replacing parts when they couldn't be restored. The rail wood has some soft spots and I have a new rail wood kit which goes with the car. The tires are old and hard and will need to be eventually replaced, but still holds air and roll smooth and true. The car's exterior finish is lacquered two tone finish and has some chips and checking, but shows very well for its age. The roof is in good shape. The interior is in good condition with good seat coverings, door panels and ceiling. There is carpet on the rear floor and rubber matting up front. Seat belts were installed on theback seat, front seat belts are included but haven't been installed. Overall, this is a very well maintained and preserved car which represents the early era of motor cars.Extra parts that go with the car include the old radiator, horn parts, rebuilt generator, water pumps, light bulbs, steering rods, horn rods and an assortment of other parts and set of reference books and maintenance manuals.More photos are available upon request. Please ask any questionsImmediate $500 depositon winning bid, remainder to be paid by cash or certifiedcheck.
