(Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.)
Advertised as elegant, upscale cars, the Thunderbird of the mid 60's offered smooth, sleek styling and many modern comfort options. A powerful 390ci V8 mated to a 3 speed automatic transmission can be found under the hood of this car. A T-Bird like this is a cool collector car that is affordable, and something a little different from the GM luxury cars of the time.
This car has been owned by the same family for over 25 years with very few miles added in that amount of time. The car was restored quite a number of years ago and shows well both inside and out. The engine looks to have been rebuilt and is believed to be the original powerplant.
Medium Palomino Metallic paint covers the large exterior area of this car, bar the white hard top. The paint finish and panel fitment all around look great, with all trim, chrome, lights, and brightwork showing very well. A few imperfections on the exterior around the headlight trim are minor spots in comparison to the large surface area of the car.
Inside the car, a luxurious interior with state of the art features like overhead console, and ribbon speedometer. The dashboard features a lineup of auxiliary gauges, simple climate control/air conditioning and windshield wiper levers, and power window switches are mounted on the center console. Bucket seats upholstered in parchment cloth and vinyl match the door panels and dashboard. Under the hood is a 390ci V8 topped by a 4BBL carburetor. Power steering and power brakes help with the feeling of driving a luxury car. Driving this T-Bird with one finger on the wheel is possible if you so choose - this luxury car is a comfortable cruiser. Don't let this T-Bird fly the coop before you take a close look at it! This is a car which is an affordable classic that would make a great addition to any Ford collector's garage. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors.
