Car description

1955 Ford F-250
I purchased this from a friend in 2015. He purchased it sitting in a hay field. I do not have the title but I will provide a bill of sale.
Since I purchased this truck, I have spent over $7500 getting it running and driving. It has been sitting for a while and will need some kinks worked out but this truck does RUN and Drive. Other than getting a title, I believe this truck would pass a TX state inspection as it sits.
As far as I know, the engine is original and runs quite well. The transmission works fine and probably shifts about the same as it did in the 50's.Brakes are a touch soft but the master cylinder and fluid were replaced in 2015 so I would guess that bleeding the brakes would help a lot.Cooling system has been gone through and works well. It does not overheat at idle or on the short drives I have taken it on.The fuel tank has been cleaned but will probably need to be cleaned and sealed.Fuel pump has been replaced. The split wheels were replaced with new wheels.4 new tires were installed. I spent a lot more money to get tires from Coker that would look correct on the truck. The carburetor has been rebuilt.Radiator hoses and thermostat replaced.Distributor cap, rotors, spark plugs and wires replaced. The steering gear has been replaced. (This was a hard part to find and quite expensive)The steering wheel was replaced with a new original style. The alternator has been replaced and upgraded to 12 voltThe seat was rebuilt and re covered. It does have 1 small hole. Many other small things have been done to get the truck derivable. Refer to the receipts in the photos for more detail.Since 2017, I have had my business' mechanic work on the truck off and on. He has worked on it several times but I do not have any receipts. He has mainly been keeping the truck serviced and in good running condition.
The "bad"...The driver window does not stay all the way up.The engine is caked in oil/road grime but it does not appear to be leaking any fluids onto the ground. Some cracked glass(see pics)Some rust (see pics)

This truck starts right up and runs well. Rust is minimal considering the age and the photos should show the extent. Please ask any and all questions up front. Vehicle sold as is where is. Deposit required via paypal within 24 hours of auction ending. Buyer to arrange pickup or transport. If shipping, I am happy to meet with your carrier M-F 8-5pm or after hours and weekends with advance notice.
