Up for sale is my gorgeous Ford Model T truck. A frame-off restoration was done in Texas approximately 8 years ago. The expensive 1. 6L conversion mates the later Pinto/Bobcat dependable 4-cylinder to the original Model T transmission and driveline. This gives you the dependability of electric start. 12v brass headlights. hazard lights. turn signals and makes it an easily usable vehicle for parades. car shows and neighborhood cruises. To freshen up the restoration. last month the seat was repaired and the truck was repainted 1927 wine red over black fenders. The vehicle is located in Lexington. KY. has a clear Kentucky title in my name and includes a lot of reproduction brochures and manuals and various maintenance DVDs. Below is a detailed description of the vehicle. Good luck bidding!EXTERIORThe truck has fresh wine red over black paint - LOOKS GREAT! The roof has some cracking in the paint which is barely noticeable due to the cab height and can be easily fixed with a pad on top. such as you might find on a completely original model. The wheels were restored approximately 3 years ago and they are in great shape. The tires are brand new Firestone gum-dipped 21 inch whitewall tires. The brass headlights have been converted to 12 volt. The bed was restored with reclaimed wood using the original boards and irons as templates. INTERIORThe truck has the original steering wheel and column and later oil pressure. temperature and voltage gauges. The hand-operated windshield wiper is original to the truck. The seat is covered in brown vinyl and is in good shape. The floor of the cab is covered with a Ford reproduction rubber mat that is period correct. The hand-throttle and original pedal configuration is present and works great. The horn doesn't work but is present on the truck. MECHANICALThe later model 1. 6L motor runs great. The exhaust is new. as quiet as it is supposed to be and doesn't smoke. The original high/low Model T transmission works great. The transmission brake works very well. The motor has an electric fan. The FoMoCo radiator and brass cap are period correct and in nice shape. The restoration on this truck was not a concourse restoration but it's still one of the nicest Model T trucks I've seen. It could very well be nicer than it came out of the factory looking. It gets a lot of attention on the road and at car shows. This truck was even used as a vehicle extra in several movies. including Gangster Squad (per the previous owner). The reserve is lower than you would probably think. I'm a motivated seller and that's reflected in the fairly low starting price of the auction. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!model A model TT advertising promotional vehicle stake bed rat rod classic
