This 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible Restomod has the classic look you love and then they added in all the right investments. Vibrant paint, a loaded A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes, four-on-the-floor, and a performance-built 302 V8 are all there to give you a sharp, comfy, distinct, and speedy pony car.
That green really grabs your attention. In fact, tit almost looks like they took some of Ford's famous Grabber shades and turned it up a notch. So this one looks terrific in the sunshine, and that's what the best convertibles do. And the bright bumpers and exceptional sheetmetal really drive home the quality look of this car. But as they were taking the time to restore this Mustang they also gave it plenty of dark attitude. The blackout front end draws attention to the 1969 car's intimidating front overhang; the black on the hood really shows off the hood scoop; and the blackout rear panel help show off the well-integrated rear spoiler. Add in hood pins, big dual exhaust tips, sport mirrors, and modern Mustang 18-inch alloys, and you have a car that's got a lot of speediness to go with its style.
As much as we love the tropical wave look that this one has with the bright green paint and white roof, it gets even better when you take it down. All the mean black accents around the outside mix with the full black interior to give this the kind of thoughtful coordination inside and out that we love in convertibles. Plus, you can also see they took the time and investment to keep this looking nice. The comfy high-back bucket seats, newer carpeting, smooth dash, and taut door panels give this a very inviting look and feel. And you'll especially love that this has both power windows and a power convertible top. That means you never have to leave the driver's seat when you want to open this one up to the world. The wood-rimmed sports steering wheel, power steering, full gauge package w/tach, added oil pressure readout, and Hurst shifter are all there to remind you that this nice convertible is also a nice driver.
The engine bay has a clean look and all the right pieces you want in a car built for fun. In the middle is Ford's mighty 302 cubic-inch V8. It's built for power with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Offenhauser intake, and Hooker Super Competition long tube headers. It's even supported by the right features, like a bracer bar, newer hoses, and an aluminum radiator. It fires up easily with a terrific sound out of the dual exhaust, and you're in complete control of the power and the rumbling soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. In fact, control is a central part of this cars driving experience with more upgrades like four-wheel power disc brakes and a modern Goodyear Eagle performance tires afforded by the wheel upgrade.
