Up for sale is my one of a kind 1967 Ford Galaxie 500, I’ve lost interest in the car and don’t have the motivation to finish it (we are also wanting to move forward with building a house and this would help with that), now’s your chance to get a car with a lot of the hard work out of the way.Car is twin turbo’d and grabs a lot of attention, makes roughly 550 WHP on 10lbs of boost with 93 pump gas, all at a conservative 12 degrees of timing. This is a pro-touring -ish / restomod car that you can throw the whole family in or you and three of your buddies and blister the tires leaving the car show, then carve the corners on your way home, all while being in a somewhat unsuspecting looking car.Car runs and drives great, accelerates, corners, stops, and rides unlike most anything else you’ll see at a car show / meet. Car is originally a 390 big block car, the odometer reads 46,000 miles, title is clear and in my name. Below is what I remember of the build, I’m sure I’m missing pieces, can send a whole bunch of photos if requested.
Drive train:•6.0L / 364ci LS engine•Twin 67mm turbos•Twin Precision 39mm wastegates, currently with 10lb springs in•Tial Q 50mm BOV•BTR stage 2 twin turbo cam, pushrods, double valve springs, etc•Ported heads•ARP head bolts•Billet double roller timing set•All new gaskets and seals•Oil cooler located behind front bumper (will need a better mount made eventually)•Fitech standalone engine management•4l80e with transgo HD2 shift kit (does have a leak around the pan but not excessive, haven’t gotten around to resealing it yet)•Trans fluid cooler located behind front bumper (will need a better mount made eventually)•4 or 5†driveshaft with 1350 U-Joints both ends (can’t remember diameter off hand, new yokes front and back)•9†traction lock with 3.50 gear, 31 spline axles•2 into 1 intercooler•Aluminum radiator•High volume electric fan•Manifolds and charge pipes heat wrapped
Chassis:•QA1 coil overs all 4 corners•Hotchkis 1 3/8†DOM front sway bar, 1†solid rear sway bar•Triangulated 4 link•Boxed lower control arms front and rear•Stiffened/beefed up cross members and connectors, a lot of the factory welds ground down and rewelded•Entire frame and components taken down and recoated with 3M undercoating•Factory power steering box was rebuilt, works ok but not perfect, my plan was to swap to electric power steering from a 2013ish ford explorer•Every bushing, bearing, ball joint, tie rod end, etc was replaced
Body:•Floor pans and trunk pan replaced, excess holes in firewall filled, floor pans on interior totally replaced in thin areas, 2nd under layer of pans on bottom of car aren’t totally replaced, if you want a show car will need a little work here but the floor is 100% solid now•Entire bottom side of body, fire wall, wheel wells, and top side of floor and trunk pans coated with 3M under coating after 3M self-etching primer over bare steel•Firewall recessed 6†to get the engine back and as low as possible, transmission tunnel raised•Fuel cell provision made on passenger side of trunk, battery box also mounted on passenger side of trunk•Body is very solid and straight, only rust issues are behind the rear wheels and a small amount between the deck lid and back glass•I have all the factory chrome trim if desired to put back on the car•Currently has Silverado seats (so I could get a shoulder belt without putting a hoop/cage in the car), but I also have the factory bench if desired, plan was to reshape Silverado seats and recover to match when the whole interior got redone•I have all the little trim pieces to go around the headliner and pillars, all the window cranks are there, I also have the factory door panels but they are in rough shape•The trunk is big enough to fit at least 5 bodies in, or like a dozen lawn chairs and an easy up tent, your choice
Brakes:•Hydro-boost master cylinder•14†rotors all around, slotted in front, holes and slots in rear•Stainless braided brake lines throughout•Wilwood proportioning valve•Needle valves on the power brake and power steering supply lines so you can bypass flow if desired to fine tune steering and brake feel•Remanufactured dual piston calipers all 4 corners•Power steering pump that pressurizes brakes and power steering seems to be getting weak, may need a rebuild or replacement, pretty cheap even if you wanted to replace though
Electrical:•All new wiring, fuse blocks, bus bars, relays, etc. throughout, nothing original used•LED headlights with white drl halo rings, halo rings will flash amber with turn signal (but not wired up to flash amber yet)•LED tail lights
Fuel system:•20 gallon fuel cell under trunk pan (not in the cab of the car to prevent any fumes)•AEM high flow fuel pump•100 micron pre filter, 40 micron post filter•99% of hoses/lines are Eaton Aeroquip with Eaton fittings•5/8†supply line tank to Y under intake manifold•½†supply to each fuel rail, ½†from fuel rails to regulator, ½†from regulator to tank return•Adjustable regulator with gauge, referenced to intake manifold for boost pressure increase
Wheels / tires:•Nitto Invo 285/35/19 tires in front, less than 500miles (tires will rub top arch of fenders when turning sharp with it sitting this low and having this wide of a tire in the front, but it really grips in the turns)•Nitto Invo 305/30/19 tires in rear, less than 500 miles•Wheels are mustang performance pack 2 wheels
