For sale is my 1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT finished in iconic Dark Blue Metallic and Wimbledon white over blue interior. I recently pulled it out of a barn in rural Montana but according to the attached Marti report this Bronco Bronco Ranger XLT was ordered new in Alberta Canada and heavily optioned out from the factory.
This Bronco is powered by a 400 V8 backed by a C6 Automatic. It has an aftermarket intake, Edelbrock carb and dual exhaust. It starts right up and drives down the road but could use a tune up after sitting for a number of years.
The body is good shape overall, the original owner had foam sprayed on the bottom of the floors (likely to help insulate from the cold), this protected the floors amazingly well. When I removed the foam the floor look BRAND NEW...take a look at the photos. As you can see the exterior of the body and it’s all original has some patina. The quarters and tailgate do have some rust but it would be repairable without a quarter replacement. The drip rails, cab corners and other bronco “bad spots†are all perfect. Needs a windshield. The Bronco got backed into in the right front, as the photos show there is a dent in the fender and the bumper is slightly tweaked. The roof rack, running boards and “Deflecta Shield†bug guard all were dealer installed accessories.
The interior is all original and complete. The front seat needs to be recovered, the rear seat is in like new condition, carpet and dash pad need replacing. The factory Ranger XLT door panels are still present and in good shape. The inside spare tire carrier still has the factory spare mounted to it.
Truck is a barn find that would make a great start to a restoration project or something you could be driving as a survivor in a weekends worth of cleanup. I have never seen cleaner floor pans on any 2nd gen bronco!
Clean title in hand.
