Up for sale, please find my friend Bill's 1973 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT. Built at the San Jose California plant with the 390 2v motor, Automatic Transmission, 2 wheel drive, Dual Exhaust, and 6-1/2 foot bed. This was his pride and joy for cruising around Palm Springs until he passed, two years ago. Vehicle has been parked since, does not run currently, and will need standard steps to get it road-ready (Fresh fuel, tune-up, check the brakes, fluids, etc.) **IT WILL NEED TO BE TOWED** I am selling this on behalf of his widow, who as the clean California title in her name.
We figured someone might ENJOY bringing this truck back to life, and it is as straight and rust-free as any you will find, and has very low mileage. Bill loved this truck.
The GOOD: Totally Complete. Real XLT. Laser-straight, with no rust or corrosion anywhere. No accidents ever. Unbelievably clean frame rails and floors and fenders, etc. Rock solid.Super low mileage. 65k actual miles on the 390 2v motor and Automatic transmission. It ran perfectly when it was parked in 2018. Cool Alpine Stereo.
The NOT SO GOOD: The truck was originally a two tone Root Beer and White truck, which was repainted to the red and white you see here. The interior remains brown. Someone should either put in a red and white interior, or paint the truck back to original Root Beer and White. Buyer's choice. The paint is crazed from the desert sun in some spots, but still looks cool. A good polish and seal would make a big difference.
I had to evict some desert critters that were nesting under the hood.
With a little love this will be a great truck for the next owner, and these trucks are fetching BIG $$ in top condition. This truck is priced accordingly, mindful of the work that needs to be done to get it to the next level.
This truck is for sale locally so we reserve the right to end this listing at any time.
Thank you for looking.
