SSP Mustang Notchback Special Service Package Ford LX Police Interceptor Foxbody

If you have an interest in Notchback Mustangs than I am sure you know how hard they have become to find and the rarity of them. Not only is it difficult to find a clean Notch that isn't destroyed, rusted out, modified or beat to death but to find a true Factory Ford Special Service Package!
This car was ordered by the Texas State Police Highway Patrol, since owning this car I have learned more about what it means to be an SSP car. There are buck tags as you can see in the photos attached to the radiator support by Ford, this designates what that particular Police department ordered, mine was ordered by Texas Police as it reflects on the tags, all the other numbers and codes designate specific options that were ordered by the department. (From what I understand anyway)
SSP cars all have some unique features, to me the coolest is the factory 160mph speedometer! These cars were built for pursuit! They also all have very expensive, high quality silicone hoses, higher amperage alternators, one key that opens all doors and trunk, re-location of electric trunk release button, full size spare, 8.8 rear end, engine oil cooler, unique clutch fan, special brakes, reinforced floor pans, the list goes on, these are just some that I can think of.
Bottom line is my car is in AWESOME condition as the pictures reflect. Spent a great deal of time and money making sure this car was a reliable runner that you can easily hop in and enjoy. Drive this car anywhere, runs, shifts, drives, stops, functions amazing! This summer was one of the hottest in NJ and this car performed perfectly all summer, ice cold air ripping all summer and engine never got hot, always stayed at operating temperature.
I replace the entire ac system, including the brutal task of doing the heater core! Replaced with proper ssp parts as well as new blue silicone hoses going to the heater core. I noticed a slight vibration at very high speed so I replaced everything! All new u-joints, new balanced driveshaft, new output shaft and seal, new transmission cross member with good bushings not the cheap ones, new transmission mount, etc.
Brakes and shocks replaced, engine serviced, gear oil in transmission as well as rear differential serviced, new tires, even ordered the kit to fix the ash tray that commonly breaks and installed that! Map light works for crying out loud! This is a great car.
Car is truly rust free from top to bottom! One of the biggest reasons I bought car, solid in every area, look closely at pics, if you need more message or text me and I can send. Mind blowing how solid, nice and tight this car is.
I had the entire car painted as well as all the factory trim to flat black, the only thing you may want to do is get some weather stripping at top of doors.
Comes with all the official police components, have police motorola radio and speaker, have lights for the front and rear, have spot light with new handle, even have the giant police dome light should you want to install. Car originally had two big antennas on the rear next to trunk lid, when I painted car I removed them and neatly plugged holes with black plastic plugs. Look in photos, you can see. I did not want to fill them with metal because I thought someone may want to put her back to her original pursuit mode!
